Many fans mistake his style for lazyness but if you watch him he busts a gut fr the team when the chips are down.

He has this annoying habit of covering his mouth and nose and looking around at everyone else when he * something up.

If he starts a game well he'll have a good game, if it's not going his way, he disappears.

I can't work out how folk can say he is lazy.....as gunt says, he busts a gut to get back and help out the midfield and defence and I would bet he covers more area of the pitch than most.

He is a good player, maybe not suited to Scottish football. If he goes I hope his career takes off, which I'm sure it will abroad.

Naw it isnae...out of all our attacking minded players, he is the one to is shutting down and trying to win the ball back in the opposition half.

His off the ball movement too is only sencond to Keane. Alot more mobile than Fortune.

no being funny mate but you are delirious if you think out of all our midfielder's that Samaras is the hardest working on the pitch? Yeah he makes the odd run here and there but what games have you been watching where he is the one chasing the ball all the time?

He plays the exact same way for his country. To much * about he need to get the head down and head straight for goal and use the power he has in his shots to test goalkeepers more.

he flatters to deceive. somtimes he does things and u think what a player but those times are few and far between. bottom line is he is a gutless fairy who shouldnt have been signed in the first place he isnt consistent enuff . get rid of him along with loovens, mcmanus, crosas and a host of players who are picking up wages and arnt gona play an important part in winning us the league back . wilson, caddice, sheridan etc etc we must sign players that are gona play in the first team cos in years gone but all we seem to sign is players to sit on the bench. flood, macort , mcginn etc. their is alot of deadwood at celtic park that lennon needs to move on to free up wages so he can get better players in hopefully samaras will be first out followed by alot more.

His performance for Greece the other night is just reminiscent of what we have been watching for the last year+

Shuts down the ball more than McGeady? Yes. Fortune? Yes. Brown? Debatable. N'Guemo? Not an attacking player. Keane? Debatable. Rasmussen? Yes. Kamara? Yes.

The rest have not played enough games to make a fair judgement.

Can't say i'm too sad tbh. I had really high hopes for him and backed him up as much as possible but his performances have been going downhill and doesn't show like theyh will improve.
I'm not going to slate the guy, he is a tryer but time to go.

Bear in mind he was essentially playing left-wing for Greece which funnily enough is where he's been shoe-horned recently for Celtic. Tony Mowbray started this guff of playing strikers on the wing (Kamara/Sammy) and hardly any strikers enjoy that at all. Keane was forced to do that for Spurs a few times - it's a thankless task - never again.

Sammy is a good striker, he has a good strike rate and links up well when we get technical. His decision making is better than people think, his problem is being played out of position and a lack of creativity behind him. His best spell came with Maloney on the left who had the intelligence to actually create chances and quick one twos for him.

Worst place Sammy can pick up the ball is on the left flank about the half way line - he can't cross, can't pass and isn't great at dribbling long distances. Unfortunately for Celtic and Greece at the weekend, this is where he was gaining possession.

Thats a pointless argument mate. Answer this? when he has played in the stikers position for Celtic..has he stuck to the strikers position? has he *..hes either deep or out the wing stuck to the byline.so this out of position at left-wing is nonsense cause thats where he has been when hes playing at striker

He does have an annoying tendency to come deep for the ball but I also think that's a lot to do with service. You can't say our midfielders have been at all creative this season, Crosas has barely been given a shout. Pointless argument to you maybe but you think it's coincidental that Samaras best spell came when playing up front yet when he's shunted out onto the left of a 4 man midfield, his performance suffers?
