Apathy which has arisen out of out unprecedented situation of being guaranteed to win the league before a ball has been kicked. In the past, whether it be the years when the top flight in Scotland was incredibly competitive or, sadly, when it became a 2 horse race, the atmosphere we loved was generated by competitive league in which even 1 defeat may have been the difference between success or failure.

Now, when we all know how the season will end there is a obvious lack of intrigue as to how the season will pan out which doesn't lend itself to a more passionate fanbase willing the team on.

Aye the Green Brigade were missed today. Atmosphere was subdued, apathetic. I was at the opposite side of the stadium and Aberdeen fans were only fans we could hear singing. There were a couple of akward attemps to start chants, but it was scattered and seem void of much passion. Be glad when they're back, the songs and atmosphere are a vital part of Celtic to me and if it helps to movitvate other fans to sing then I'm all for them.

Totally correct. It's as if folk are desperate for the 111 to be back as it let's them off from having to try and generate an atmosphere.

CELTIC can confirm that we plan to re-open Section 111 in the North East lower corner of the Stadium to season ticket holders, beginning with the forthcoming match against Motherwell to be played this Sunday, September 21.
The reopening follows a period of positive discussions with former Season Ticket holders within the section, during which it has been agreed that the safety of spectators must always be of paramount importance and that the reputation of the Club and its supporters must be protected at all times.
As is the case with all fans attending Celtic Park, compliance with ground regulations, competition rules and the law must be observed.
Celtic considers this move to represent significant progress in fan engagement and acknowledge the role played by supporters from the Section who have agreed to work with the Club to provide positive backing for the team in a safe environment, with further agreements in place that any breaches will result in a review of Section usage.
The Club was instrumental in establishing this section for supporters and we look forward to working together to ensure its long-term success in providing strong positive backing for Celtic manager Ronny Deila and the team.

It will last as long as the GB stay within expected behaviour when representing Celtic Football Club.

Although not to everyone's taste, and I certainly count myself as someone who admittedly doesn't get them or, to be honest, really want them, they were welcomed/tolerated by the club and vast majority of fans and only had their selves to blame for their fall from favour.

There can be no overtly political banners or songs, there can be no overtly antagonistic behaviour and there must be an acknowledgement that their desire to dress all "edgy" and emulate Ultras from overseas to create a particular image/threat must be re-considered. They must also cease considering themselves as a group apart from the rest of our fanbase. They choose to follow us in a manner very different to most of us but their opinions are not more valid than the rest of us and neither do they speak for or represent us.

They have been given a reprieve and must not allow themselves to become full of the believe that they are untouchable, as they did in the past, as they will get no further chances.

They are very passionate supporters, no-one can deny that, but they need to decide whether they are members of the GB first and foremost or Celtic supporters.

Not once in my post did I say I was against the political songs. I said that I didn't really understand the GB and that I don't particularly want them (though I admit I am in the minority with the latter) but I don't find the songs offensive at all.

However, what I did say is that if the GB wish to retain their place at Celtic Park with the club's and, it must be added, the Police's backing, then they must respect the rules placed upon them however they feel about them. The club and Police will not tolerate overtly political banners (something I endorse) or songs deemed to be politically charged (something I disagree with)

Message to the GB: Everybody is glad to see you back but use the head and try not to do anything thats going to get you banned. I dont think anyone can take another long running saga between Celtic and the GB because the GB have done something that is deemed unacceptable by Celtic. Welcome back!
