The board were willing to turn a blind eye for the GB as they thought it would be all round beneficial....

I have no doubt in my mind the Gb are being targeted over "Poppy-gate"

But wether you agree with their banner or not....the board are clearly having a quiet pop back at the GB for their anti-John Reid chants.....and are using the Health and Safety as a weapon....a very legitimite weapon however!

I'm a huge fan of the GB and think the effort and commitment they put in is unbelievable. But I follow Celtic, not the GB. And it's this that I find frustrating and annoying because CELTIC are treating fans in this way. If they're going to ban the green brigade (which I sincerely hope they don't) they should at least have the balls to do it straight instead of hiding behind tactics such as not issuing tickets to them for the Huns games etc. Whatever happened to "Football without the fans is nothing". I think Jock Stein would be ashamed that his own are turning against those who dedicate their lives to the hoops :54:. Bring in safe standing and sack the board.

I asked the question.."Where did I say the GB were dominant?"..

To my original statement...i mentioned that it was my opinion that a section, if not the majority of the GB believe themselves to be the better group of supporters...to which i strongly disagree with...hence the EQUALITY of which i spoke of, in terms of support!

    Sack the board..????
We are lucky to have some of the guys that work here.....we could be alot worse off.
If the Gb stuck to supporting football team then fine.....but they seem to be saying * the board with ever chance they get and that is just going to get them no where.
Celtic have to stop fans standing before they can complain about others doing the same....ie away fans at celtic park.

Read your post. Above. 'yes we are all celtic mate....but equally...not one set is dominant!'

You may not have said it but you implied it.

Put it this way; I would rather have 60,000 people who sung, backed the players without resorting to abuse and showed passion for the club they love, instead of 60,000 greeting faced * who never sing, abuse our own players and are negative.

Surely the guy(s) I described first are better supporters than the guy(s) that I described in the latter part of my post ? Regardless of how much money that's paid for the ticket which in fact is completely irrelevant.

I would rather have 30,000 hardcore supporters than 60,000 corporates and hangers on.

As much i like the GB's efforts to bring an atmosphere to the stadium and CP would be a graveyard without them, their banner about the poppy was bad enough to get them banned for life because any political display results in a "life ban".So as much as a lot of people don't like the board, if you look at the situation from their point of view, the GB are costing them money and getting them into * with sponsors so the last thing our club needs is a disturbance during the minutes silence on the 2nd of January and the people most likely to cause that would be the GB, so obviously the board thought the easiest thing to do would be to stop them all from going

ffs, how are the gb the most likely to disturb it?. they have never ruined a silence, and they stated that ruining a silence was not on their agenda,

so explain how theyre the most likely?:97:

Well at Falkirk when there was singing during the minutes silence almost everyone on their forum and everyone in the group supported that, which is just shocking and their pointless banner about the poppy was just as stupid and see if you read what i actually said "if you look at the situation from their (the board's) point of view" and ruining silences is only on not their agenda now because it certainly wasn't back then

the green brigade supported the break of silence at falkirk, that does not mean they ruined it, i support it, i never ruined it?.

this silence however is a silence for a completely different thing, this silence is to remember innocent people who died. So how can you say or say that the boards view is that the GB are likely to break it, when even before they knew they were exluded from the ballot, they stated it's no on their agenda.

if that's the case (which it's not) then me and all other celtic fans should be exluded from the ballot surely?.

at first the green brigade were lied to by the club saying they had been unlucky in failing to receive a ticket, now that the deadline for returning offer letters is over, Peter Liewell has come out and said they've been banned from away registration and the ballot for ipox. They are clearly being victimised.

The GB seems to be a scapegoat for the board we are all entitled to have our opinion this country loves to use the freedom of speech and clearly some people had certain opinions they felt they wanted to get across. The freedom of speech line is used as long as it does nt ruffle feathers . I respect everyone point of view it does nt mean i agree with every point of view:celt_2::celt_2::celt_2:
