I bet Uncle Pete wanks furiously at the prospect of a Celtic Park full of suits. #Be Celtic

If we lose then that's down to the team,we should beat then we have the player to do it.

Sums up sort of how I feel as well. Many are brainwashed and just go along with anything and everything the board has to say.

And many such as yourself are brainwashed into thinking that the Green Brigade are angels and can do no wrong.

It's a shame but it's their own fault.

Yes. And I'm sure the thousands that were injured due to lateral movement would agree with you.

We all know they won't be. Everyone's innocent until to proven Green Brigade.

Our club promotes "Doing The Huddle in the Champions League" then gets rid of the Green Brigade because of safety concerns.

I've come to the conclusion that neither side is brainwashed. I think both Lawwell and the GB (and most of their respective supporters) have what they consider to be the club's best interests at heart, but have very different visions of what that would entail.

My impression is that, in the long run, Lawwell wants us to be something like Man Utd (right down to playing in the EPL). I imagine the GB probably see our future as being something like a bigger, Irish version of St Pauli. I think the fans are split on this and, as a consequence, also on whether they support the board or the GB. It's a battle for the soul of the club.

Me personally, I'm grateful for the fantastic job Lawwell does in many aspects; but find his long-term vision uninspiring to put it mildly. Everything I'm proud of about Celtic is much closer to what the GB are doing.

I'm quite surprised to see a Dortmund fan condemn fans for being boisterous.

When you're repeatedly warned against doing it and then still proceed to do so you're asking for it, no matter how stupid health and safety regulations are these days. And the club don't set them.

I'm not condemning fans for being boisterous. I'm condemning them for being stupid and repeatedly ignoring warnings against lateral movement (among other things).

I'll admit that I don't think it's a big enough deal to close a section. But the club are under pressure to comply with the health and safety bullcrap that exists in football today and if they aren't willing to listen then they're asking for it in my opinion. Their relationship with the club over the past couple of years certainly hasn't helped things either.

I'm far from anti GB. I love what they bring to Celtic for the most part. I just think that completely unnecessary stubbornness was their downfall in this case and for that reason they can only blame themselves (or Glasgow City Council's health and safety regulations, take your pick).

It's no so much the influence of the team (which is wrong in any case - do you think the PLAYERS! want deathly silence around our home ground apart from the grumbles and groans and lunatics shouting themselves hoarse at the guys on the park that is widespead throughout CP?).
Well let me remind you all that think the group/section haven't taken heed and think it is just to disband them.
    These times could come again.
No more of your COYBIG no more of your PMFA no more of your full stadium huddles, just your wee sporadic Hail Hail or maybe a wee half hearted JCGE in amongst your sweetie paper rustling and applause at winning a corner.
These guys have put their lives and souls into that section. For 90 full minutes (win, lose or draw!) and hours and hours of dedication behind the scenes creating their tifos and displays (that no doubt you 'enjoy'??). Far and away the best in the land and creating scenes that doesn't get seen on these shores.
That is an influence for the team, far more than you and I, am pretty sure, and most certainly far more than an influence than your Lawell's.
Him and his board chums might think they can take them for granted but to think some of the support sides with them is truly saddening.
Football should be entertaining on the park and in the stands.
Should hang your heads. They deserve to have fun and have fun in their own way.

And what about the team on the pitch? Have they suddenly become irrelevant?

No, they haven't. Both sides of the debate support the team. That's a given.

With regret and after numerous warnings about ignoring safety issues, it was announced today that children are to be banned from playing on the beach...
