Not yet, they're taking a lot of abuse on Facebook though.

I think they'll have to release a statement soon.

The fireworks and overcrowding are not their fault.

i dont think anyone in the group or the section make there own rules, but there was talk way back when the section first started up that the banners shouldn't be brought into the ground as the could be a fire hazard....which is just stupid,
my point there is if that rule was laughed out surely this can be to, as the huddle is widely accepted so there shouldn't really be a problem.

Because the GB spoke with the club last week regarding the warning they were given about smoke bombs and broken seats at Cliftonville. The thread of closure was given then, but there was no smoke bombs or anything at the last couple of games, so it can only be based on the lateral movement that they've made this decision.

If this whole thing is over lateral movement then it's not exactly difficult for the GB to stop doing it, is it? But if true it's a poor decision by the club- the GB add an awful lot to the "matchday experience" that the club have been wanting to improve.

It's the whole section. I've not once singled out the green brigade. If the broken seats, overcrowding and fireworks don't stop then something has to be done about the section. Unless the club find out exactly who is to blame and punish them rather than a whole section.

theres been no smoke bombs from the section at all, the bangers were from someone at the back of 110 and the green brigade took the hit for it.

Until the point it IS laughed out though, all it does is give the board a rather large rod to beat the GB with - a rod that could easily be broken to * by simply nae doing it. Whether stupid (I agree it is) or not, keeping on doing it only ends up with one result, sadly - that's not me having a pop, rather just being frustrated by the simplicity of it all.

Why does not respecting certain rules mean they thknk they are Celtic? I don't see the connection.

I'm not quite sure what the GB can do, though. Surely it is the club's responsibility to sort this out or, if they can't, to give back to the GB the tools they used to have to control it. Just closing the section seems suspiciously like targeting the GB to me.

i dont know if your a member on the green brigades fourm mate, but if you have the time you should check it out, the members of the group have on many occasion, tried to self police the section and for the past few season the group where able to decide who sat in the section, this year that was took away so theres lots of people who are not known etc, the section is heavily monitored bye stewards on the stairs around the section and a further 3-4 at the entrance of 111, followed by the crazy amount of police at 11 and the lower section and down at the bottom of 110 where the try to secretly film the section.

i personally think pyro adds a great atmosphere on away games when its used but at home theres no point as it will just be more ammo for the board and others to use against us

Frustrates the life out of me that clubs throughout Europe can have an organised standing section and yet we are being left behind by fear and Health and Safety freaks.

This is really not what we need right now, splits in the support going into a crucial game on Wednesday.

I really don't see why Celtic have closed the section now, the Green Brigade have done absolutely nothing wrong in the last 3 games

Surely the fans who sit in this section know who the trouble makers are? The should tell the club and save the whole section being shut down. It's up to everyone in the section to and the club to sort this out. I doubt the section will be closed down. At least I hope it won't be.

I don't think fans should have the power to police a whole section, but if that kept trouble makers out the section then it seems like the way to go.
