Disgraceful from the police and absolutely shameful from the club as well. These lads have been an absolute credit to the club the last few years and this is the way they are treated. * sake, Celtic Park without them would be awful

They are the spirit of the old jungle, so Celtic should do anything to protect them from the * police

That's well put together, I think the Green Brigade have handled that brilliantly.

I * hate the Police anyway and don't need an excuse to criticize them but it sounds as if the GB have been treated shockingly. Hopefully Celtic take some kind of action, attending Celtic Park wouldn't be the same without them and they deserve to be backed when in the right.

I've got so much respect for what the Green Brigade do and hope it's not something like this that deters them. The effort they put in week in, week out, is fantastic.

I get stopped when I'm with my kids and they get asked to unfurl their champions flag...

Two kids with their father and we get vetted going in, and we are in the upper tier!!!

So you can imagine the bother the GB get going in and during the game.

Don't let the * grind you down lads.

When he gets his pishy independence, what do you think he'll do then? For one he wants "scandanavian prices" for drinks. Theres all your local boozers out of business. But thats ok.. we have oil... * muppet.

I don't hate the police, they're just *. But they more or less have to do what they're told. It's the politicians who want to scapegoat football and blame it for Scotland's problems, who sensationalize and distort the truth for their cheap opportunism, and who are allowed to spew their soapbox lies to a servile, slackjawed media that swallows their rhetoric without question, that's who I hate. Stop letting these arseholes get away with avoiding the real issues.

If I'm right in saying, Alex Salmond attempted to interfere/influence HMRC during the administration process and subsequent liquidation of Rangers. Now I'm not entirely sure this is accurate- but I think one of the reasons he gave for doing so was that he felt it was in the interests of Scottish football and promoting the game (?).

If that was the case, I believe he would be better served trying to promote Scottish football in far more constructive ways than merely attempting to get tax cheats out of a 90 odd million pound bill. I think the anti-football Bill to 'even things up', the policing at Scottish games in general, the way football supporters are treated going to and from games on buses, trains etc is an absolute disgrace and should be completely overhauled in order to make going to matches in Scotland an enjoyable pastime and consequently promote/improve the game in general.

I also believe they need to look at new initiatives and incentives to ensure attending a football match in Scotland is a good experience. Perhaps opening up alcohol licensing to football clubs so it can be sold inside stadiums etc is something worth looking at- if it would see an increase in spectators going to games.

But the current situation- as the treatment of the Green Brigade shows- is not the way forward to promote Scottish football.

I'm not sure which is actually worse, the Police's terrible treatment of these guys (the Taxi licence thing, hauling a guy out his work etc) or Celtic's complicity in it all.

All credit to them for standing up to this, and I see that certainly tonight, and I think possibly moving forward the whole section are going to be entering, and leaving the stadium together, to stop the pigs picking off people.

It's not right that going to a football match should be able to cause so much hassle in your life. The whole Celtic fanbase should be standing up for these guys, they are our lifeblood.

You'd think the police would have some actual crimes to investigate.

    "Pishy Independence"?

If you're not bright enough to differentiate between the issue of Scottish Independence and Alex Salmond as an individual then I suggest you steer well clear of making any comment on the subject. You'll just make yourself look silly otherwise.

the treatment of fans GB section has been absolutely shocking, especially in that hibs game when they just waded in for no reason and could have stirred up a response from the crowd.

The police are getting away with harrasment inside the ground. This is acts of fascism from a police force to use trumped up accusations and charges nothing more.

Because the stance of political messages at home and away matches the police take it very seriously as if members and supporters of the Green Brigade are some sort of criminals.

That statement has a insight of how much the brutal fascist acts of harrassment members have to put up with for supporting Celtic. Lets not to mention the PLC backs the police.

Do you understand if scotland got independence, that does not mean alex salmond would be our prime minister? Using him as an excuse is such a weak cop out for being against independence

It's nights like tonight that the Green Brigade keep Celtic Park alive.

I dread to think what the atmosphere would have been like without them tonight.

Important info - Barcelona 125th anniversary tifo.

On the 7th of November, 125 years and one day from Celtic’s founding meeting in St Mary’s in the Calton, we take on Barcelona in the Champions League.

With brilliant financial backing from the Celtic support, we have organised a fantastic full-stadium display to mark the occasion and celebrate our incredible history and we need EVERY fan to play their part in making it a success. For that to happen, we need everyone to make a big effort to get in early and to follow these instructions.

Do NOT raise the material at your seat during You’ll Never Walk Alone. Instead, wait for the cue from the Green Brigade corner at section 111 to do so before the teams come out. With your continued support we can, 125 years on from the founding of our club, continue to show the world just what the great Celtic support can do.
