If people are so against the Green Brigade and are opposed to the sometime political side of their displays, why not get together with a like minded group of people and start your own group, ask Celtic if you can move all your seats together (with Saturdays evidence of less than full houses guarenteed this season I wouldn't imagine there would be too much trouble doing this) start your own displays and chants.

In the long run this could only be a good thing, with two dedicated groups of fans with colourful displays and chants then the atmosphere would be electric.

I think the GB are great at what they do and think it would be better if they managed to get people to move to the section where they sit at to increase the atmosphere.

Are people who don't agree with them going to want to move to their area though?

I understand what Dave is saying. Instead of complaining about them on a messageboard maybe like minded fans could set up their own section and do their own thing.

Exactly this, instead of being negative all the time maybe the objectors could do something positive with all that negative energy :icon_mrgreen:

Ive found this in life in general, there are people who get up do things and others who just like to sit and criticise. :50:

Probably not their a few things I don't agree with in terms of bad publicity with the club but would happily join in with singing etc.

A new group of fans would be great aswell but I can't see that happening anytime soon, would be good though for the club in general.

It is absolutely disgraceful that people can actually hold the view that because the Green Brigade make the most noise, that means that they are worth more or are "better fans" than the rest of the Celtic fans that go to Celtic Park for games or otherwise, it's almost Elitist in a different sense. As for the people that defend the Poppy protest because of some warped view that it's acceptable to disrespect people and the good innocent men and women, Scottish or otherwise, who died in order to fight for freedom - In contrast to recent wars that are disgraceful such as Iraq et al - during war because of some sort of pseudo patriotism to what happened to Ireland under British tyranny, when we're in the 21st century, we're at a football match and it was not honouring British tyranny in Ireland, but pure and utter dedication to freedom is an absolute embarrassment to whoever was behind it and the reputation of Celtic Football Club. Again I think the point that must be stressed is yes you have some very valid political points, which believe it or not I agree with, but think about the timing or perhaps form a political party if it concerns you so greatly. There is so much the Green Brigade could do to actually become fully progressive but these sorts of actions only make a mockery of their apparent anti fascist stance. Anyway, let's hope we get past HJK and get closer to seeing 60,000 Celtic fans cheering as Zadok the Priest bellows out. :50:

Oh right, so you can't be antifascist and against the poppy being on football tops? Ffs:56: Honestly don't know if you're just at the wind up. Wow, one of the most rambling, ludicrous posts I've ever read on any forum. Absolute garbage.

While we'll be competing in a crucial CL fixture in mid-week, our great rivals :)56:) will have the honour of hosting East Fife in the 2nd round of the cup.

As it ought to be! :celt_2:

To the tune of She's Electric - Oasis.

    Watt's electric,

He scores goals for the Glasgow Celtic,

He does things I never expected,

    But he's Green and White...

Get it done GB, you know it makes sense.

I wonder if I sing it on Wednesday anybody will join in? :icon_mrgreen:
