Must have been their hanger-ons then because the section next to them became very bloated when their area emptied.

How do you know the GB feel that they are the reason other Celtic fans go to games?

It's such a false statement in my opinion, I know of not one member of the GB that have said they feel this way and I have met a good few of them personally.

I think many people get that impression because the GB are the centre of attention atmosphere wise around the stadium. Ask any member of the GB if they would rather they weren't the centre of attention and every Celtic fan contributed more to the atmosphere and I would bet they would all say yes.

A flag display if they want? The drum is accepted occasionally and not accepted other times, same with the flags they bring to every game with the back wall. Colour and noise in the stadium, whenever the club feel like allowing it, it seems.

I know for sure, that any Celtic fan, not just GB members would react to something being stolen or misplaced - if this is indeed what happened tonight. How can you leave something like that outside Celtic Park and concentrate on backing the team, if the problems lie in Celtic Park and with people involved with the club?

Okay mate maybe hangers on was the wrong term but from where I sit the ones that were still singing seemed to re-join the main group when they re-appeared so to me it looked as if they were altogether.
Agreed sometimes they don't help themselves by constantly appearing to protest to certain things, but the board themselves also seem more than happy to take them on more often than not and make life difficult for them.
But as I sit at the opposite end of the ground I'm maybe not seeing the full picture.

The whole section went out the exit at 111. They didn't just move to the sides of 110 and 112.

how do you know for sure. in your own words , such a false statement.

i believe , there are 2 drums at cp and everyone from 111 had to go down to confront the stewards and police.:97:

why do it during the game? so everyone can see and go, "oh look , whats happening with the gb".

Apparently 2 Bhoys in 111 got arrested near the end for displaying a two-stick with the word "hun" on it , they are in court in the morning for a sectarian breach of the peace, people on there forum say it will get laughed outta court , rightly it should as when the whole stadium sing "hun" they do * all but if someone holds up a banner they get arrested. Shocking IMO

all this * about the board persecuting them....its all about rules and the law.
if ye went for a night out at a club wi yer trainers.....would you question there rules. when they said nae trainers.
its not your club.....you get the pleasure and priveledge to support them thru thick and thin.
they're misguided at best...and juvenile idiots at worst

The word has no religious connotations whatsoever, as they say, laughed out of court.

I think you'd be surprised! The system are stamping out sectarianism and we are their prime targets, so if this is true we will be made an example of!

You see, I've got pretty good reasons to believe that any normal Celtic fan would react to something being stolen (again, if indeed this is true) - as these items cost hard earned money or in some cases time to design and make.

Yet you have offered up no reason as to how you've come to the conclusion that the GB think they are the reason that other Celtic fans come to Celtic Park.

Sick of the politics but love the noise. It's a tough call as we are so down right now with results and it's great to hear noise during a poor game.

yep...yer right...pretty sure a court of law decided a few years ago that the term "hun" was not sectarian or bigoted. lord patrick sean aiden o farellydonohue was right on the money with his high court judgement....haha

Personally, I think the GB bring more positives than negatives to Celtic Park. Yes they are contreversial but without them, lets face it, Parkhead would be like a library without the atmosphere they bring.

I also believe it is just a myth that they think they are better than everyone else, or assume they are the reason evryone goes to games. Does anyone have any evidence of this ? Or is it just a ploy from individuals to make them out to be the big bad boys that think they are superior to everyone else ? Personally I think this is the case. Either this or people perhaps make this assumption with no real malice behind it.

i think they brought all the extra pressure from stewards onto themselves with the poppy protest - their was only going to be one reaction from the press and thus the board.

however i sit in 111 and i have got to back the lads 100% as they are doing a brilliant job of bringing atmosphere back to the games. i saw a load of flags in a big bin as i was leaving the stadium and would hate to think these are the missing flags in question
