Imagine trying to run a company the size of Celtic and you have a 2 o'clock with Bob the builder and balaclava Jim for them to tell you about their thoughts on the history of the middle east and the latest changes to their political manifesto. And unless you pat their heads and rub their bellies, you are 'arguably racist'

Fireworks, pyro, balaclavas, dressing in black, and mission statements have literally nothing to do with the history of Celtic, Celtic fans, or Scottish football. It's a modern fad from Europe.

They were given a standing section. Paid for and installed by the club. All they ask for in return is dont act like wee dicks and dont do anything to * Uefa off.

 

I've never known an informational environment as poor as it is for the Israel/Palestine thing at the moment, which makes it very hard to get to the bottom of what is happening. It's worse than Covid or Ukraine, which is saying something. Regardless of our views on the situation, I think we should tread very carefully here.

If the fan groups want to dive in with both feet, that's entirely their decision; but it's Nicholson's job to protect the club. So I'd genuinely like to know what kinds of relationship to Palestine they are talking about here.

The Celtic End

It would be amazing to have a massive standing section behind the goal. The atmosphere would be excellent and there's obviously a push for it from several supporter groups..

However, in my opinion it would be unfair to move supporters against their will, some will have sat there since the stand was built.. before a lot of supporters who want it to happen were born..

Probably need to ballot season ticket holders on it, especially those who would need to move..

Then there's the argument is at hassle the board actually need with GB and the Board at constant loggerheads.

 

All good points. Maybe it could be achieved as well as part of a stadium expansion?
