Bring a Ukrainian flag but no a flag of Palestine eh.

 

Honestly?- I haven't met one who supports Israel OR Palestine. Which is kind of the crux of my whole argument. They are saddened by the whole plight and the death of innocent people on both sides. As it should be. But It has absolutory nothing to do with any of us. Thankfully

I've worked in other countries over the years. I have friends and ex colleagues from there sending photos of the GB display the day after Hamas beheaded babies. Its not a far stretch to suggest that we as a collective whole have not been viewed upon favourably.

 

You are questioning the right for people to display they beliefs. It’s caused bad publicity from people who are not our friends anyway.

Even taking that at face value though surely you can see the sheer hypocrisy when almost a year ago to the day we were inviting Ukrainian refugees to the game and routinely seeing Ukraine flags in games all over Europe even tonight I assume there will be some sort of peace video package on the big screen and again on the advertising boards. I've said all the way through this the wording of the initial banner was very poor and very poorly timed but to be getting emails from the club advising not to take a national flag I just find that mental when you consider everything else that has happened.

 

Just concentrate on supporting team...This is reason GB has lost majority of support just cause divisions within own support

 

You're right, they will. I am curious to see how many will fly the Palestine flag tonight given most I know wont.

How many Palestine flags do you expect to be seen outside the Green Brigade area then? say 50,000 don't sit with them. How many of those 50,000 Are you expeciting to have flags 500 or 10,000?

 

I honestly dont know mate. However If 10,000 waive a flag and 50,000 dont, What does this tell you about the overwhelming majority?

Nothing, not as if everyone needs a flag or has one.

But if 10,000 flags are in a 60,000 stadium i'd say thats overwhelming support.

Rightly criticised over the banner, most of the time they are spot on tho..

 

Didn't seem to have caused any dissention at Tynecastle.
