I think this too. Unless I'm severely underestimating the board, hiring Higgins would bring about a shitstorm I've not seen since the early 90's. It's surely not plausible for a group of businessmen to be this antagonistic towards it's own support?

Get the long term season ticket holders out, pump the ST prices up, then punt them to a new clientele. That's exactly what this PLC would do.

What they'd like to do and what they can do are two vert different things.

We all know what kind of * these people are.

But if they were to go ahead with this appointment, and they wont imo, it would be devestating for them.
All the metal barriers in the world wouldnt stop the 10's of thousands that would descend on CP.
Matchdays would be a disaster, with protests amped up to include things like mid game walkouts to put pressure on the security operations, concession and superstore boycotts, far more antagonistic and personal attacks on board members via banners, chants and viral campaigns etc etc.

Not to mention the ned elements who would be highly likely to try something utterly stupid and perhaps dangerous.

All of it costing a * load of money.

Quite frankly, this board wouldn't survive the appointment of Higgins.
And they know it.

What im more interested in, is that theyre not * stupid. Theyre a bunch of conniving, Tory, parasitic filth, but not stupid.
And this appointment is s stupid one, a very very stupid one.
They surely couldn't be THAT tone deaf.
I fear there was always something else going on behind this.

When the chips are down you know and see who your friends are. Last season when Celtic had a bad time a section of the support, led by blog leaders like James Forrest, and his Green Brigade thug pals, turned on the club. They verbally and physically abused players and staff. They attacked and slaughtered the club on every social media platform and the mainstream press, who they claim to despise, to bolster their attack. They were physically violent outside the ground endangering the lives of people. This was hidden behind a wall of ‘we love the club so much’.

They attacked the club during the new manager hunt, even though they club went after who these brats wanted. When THEIR CHOICE showed his true colours, wasn’t his fault, was always the club at fault.
They attacked the man the club did get. Repeatedly. How can anyone who has managed in football for 25 years know more about the game than buckfast swilling coke heads? Then they see results and they go quiet, they get their wee blog leader halfwit into a press room with the manager and he utters the most childish and idiotic line to the boss ‘i am your bestest friend Ange, please be mine’…I paraphrase of course, but that is what he meant.

They then attacked the club about ‘backing the manager’…when they realised this has been done..with more to come, they now attack who the club want to take on this poisonous element within the club. Now, Bernard Higgins IS the worst type of Police Officer, well certainly for a football club. He is a bully and a tyrant. He ensures that laws and rules are followed to his interpretation. That is not suitable for a football club and certainly not Celtic. But he is being put in place to directly manage this group of * in our support. The Green Brigade are poison. They are a band of wannabe Ultras.

Their defence is always ‘we sing songs and have big colourful flags’…well the songs and flags have often got the club into trouble, now the club can afford 40k fines of course…but that isn’t the point. They, those fans, are bringing the club the attention of UEFA. They further talk about their ‘charity work’… giving and working for charity doesn’t excuse the bad behaviour, it just makes you a * that helps a charity. This group of fans brings the club into disrepute. Now they have started again on the manager after the injury to Kyogo. This is just a group of fans who have their own agenda and will attack the club at every and any opportunity.

They openly admit they feel they have the right to own and run the club and that this is their goal. They want their hands in the till. They refer to Fergus McCann and what he did, they forget the structure in place now is based on Fergus financial vision and they forget that Fergus was an accounting genius. They are halfwits. They forget too that the older ones in this group of fans (Celtic da’s) booed Fergus when he delivered the title. Yes, that is conveniently forgotten, how they were part of the group that supported Hugh Keevins when he had a go at only paying 300k for Moravcik when John Spencer was available for 1m. These people, and/or their idiot offspring, are who is behind this group of fans, led by the Green Brigade

This past two years has proved that Jospeh De Maistre was right, people do get the governance they deserve. That applies to fans at a football club too. That is what Celtic is. A football club. We all know it’s history, how and why it was started…. but it is a football club and business… it is no longer the social enterprise it begun as. To think any different is childish and naive. By being so childish, brattish, thuggish and naive, by not being trustworthy to behave in society, rather like society as a whole just now, you get tyranny. They are thugs, brats and *. It’s that simple.
