Wouldn't be that if the person quoted as coming in for Higgins' proposed position was a known racist or any other of the "in-thing" causes these days.

A bit like the silence from the rats in the boardroom.

So out of touch it’s ridiculous

I've watched them and understand the depth of feeling..

And understand how difficult it is for them to stay silent, but can you please tell me what it's achieved or achieving?

Can't get my head around this silent protest *. The timing is stupid as *. We need to support the team to the maximum just now with this run in. The place sounds like a morgue.

How long will it last for?

Tbh most people in the stadium don't, they just want to rock up, watch the game and then * off home for a Sunday roast. If you asked every fan in the stadium unless they have been effected by the OBF bill no many of them will have a true incline to what's going on.

Has Higgins been announced for the position? As it stands no, so how can you say it's achieved "* all"?

If Higgins is announced, then yes, it would have not been successful.

Aside from that, I find it amazing that you guys are having a go at a section of guys who are choosing NOT to sing. Are you having the same go at the other majority of the folk in the stadium for not doing anything about it?

You do know the GB have no obligations to be the cheerleaders inside Celtic Park, I'm assuming?

I know, it must be a dream to play in silence in front of 45,000.

The wrong people are being punished.

Laugh and call it idiotic all you want. I’d bet my mortgage on the players and manager agreeing that it is having a detrimental effect on them.

So, you're demonizing the Green Brigade for acting like every other supporter at the games then.

    Well done.

Why do you all keep coming back to this line as if every * has no clue about what's going on? It's pathetic man. We're all against Higgins, and also want the rats in the boardroom cleaned out, so what exactly do you think am arguing against?

You claimed it's making the players "nervous".

Absolutely zero credentials to back up this rubbish.

    Everyone hates the board.

It’s the manner of the protest that is being questioned.

I don’t know how many times this needs to be reiterated by different members of the forum.

It's not just the GB, its most prominent fan groups..

I just think, the point has already been made as the decision on whether he takes up the role or not.. I've criticised the board for years and on this issue too..

I just think this tactic is stupid and masochistic..

    Playing a very dangerous game.

If the board had their way, the GB would be chastened and silenced forever.
The reason they aren't is because of the backing and support they receive from the wider support base.

If we had have dropped points today, more than a few would've pointed their fingers at the GB. And it would have been entirely understandable, if not justifiable.

There's even more than a few on here that are very frustrated by this form of "protest", and a large number wondering (like myself) what the * they're playing at.

The boards willful ignorance by even contemplating Higgins is an affront to ALL Celtic supporters. Not just the GB. The board are acting like Tory scumbags; take your medicine peasant, and thank me for it. But what they are trying to achieve with this is anyone's * guess.

They want the club ie. The plc, to remember that they are an important, if not vital component of the club's existence? Fair enough.
But they'd do well to remember that the "silent" majority of fans perform that exact same function for them. And right now, they're not happy with this.

The moment the GB loses the rank and file, their days are numbered.

As I said before, if someone could please explain this * endgame to me?

Do they want the team on the park to suffer? Do they think the board will not hire Higgins if we drop points?

Do they think rank and file will stop attending games and hurt the concession stand profits?

Do they think that the media is gonna criticise the atmosphere and put pressure on the board?

Do they think that the players or manager is gonna speak up and back them?

Do they think that ordinary supporters are gonna start pressuring the board just to get the GB to beat their drums again? Write letters? Stage sit ins? Candle light vigils?

None of the above is realistic, nevermind plausible.

Ultras exist for a reason. The vast majority of football fans don't have the time, luxury, money, home circumstances, or just the plain dedication to do what they do.

    * me I'd love to be in the GB.

2 games a week, travelling all over Scotland and Europe with the lads, watching my beloved Celtic. Reaping the praise for new songs and breathtaking displays. Who WOULDNT want to be able to do that?!

WHAT IS THE * POINT OF THIS?

Right now, their looking very entitled, very hubristic, very short sighted... and worse, very unconcerned with how this might affect the team.
Thats something the vast MAJORITY of fans of any club, find intolerable.

As I said. A very dangerous game.

Again, call it idiotic, rubbish, whatever.

It’s a * environment to play your football in. I dread to think of the atmosphere if we were pushing for a goal at 0-0 as the second half went on.
