We all agree we don't want this guy at the club but we need to be together as a support and this situation will only split it and what's the old saying we have back the team * the board .
There must be better ways to get to the board have picket line at the main store so no one goes in or Block the carpark so the board members can't park their cars make life difficult for them .

I don't think this one is so much about how to get at the board directly, but more to put media/social pressure on them.

The Celtic support is famous for it's atmosphere and noise on most home games, this "silence" will bring media attention and sporting attention to the club and have wider communities asking why the support fell so silently during this game. From there, the pressure will then build.

Of course we all would rather be singing our songs and supporting the team on the park, but there comes a time when immediate action is needed, even more so than just a silent protest, but at this stage the fans need to be doing everything they can.

The opposite - to sing all the rebs etc - would only go to supporting the board in their thinking that they need to hire a * like Higgins, supporting the SMSM and our opponents that we are "as bad as them" and that we deserve Higgins.

We are surely doing this to garner wider support from the wider football community.

If you look at the statement you will see the groups involved. It’s a joint statement not just a GB one

And again no-one is attacking TGB for protesting, fans are just concerned of the way they're protesting.

As we saw in the game against Livi the 30 minutes that there was silence allowed them to take a foothold in the game which ultimately cost us points. The team and manager are not to blame the board are, the silent protest will effect the team not the board that's the issue most fans have about it.

Some people need to get off their high horse and see why people are objecting and an objection isn't an attack on a group its a genuine concern.

There's some chat that Higgin's is not going to get the job. Anyone got anymore news about it or is it just a rumour?

The silent protest is more about the GB than the issue at hand in my view. They've ben ignored and want to demonstrate the positive contribution they make every week by taking it away. But the board won't give a *. The Higgins issue is fairly peripheral to most supporters, so it won't make enough cut-through to force their hand. It'll resolve itself irrespective of the protests and GB will be on to a new cause the weekend after.

Perhaps they have been ignored, that's something the club and them need to work out.

But you don't hear them complaining when they get first dibs on away tickets, whilst all the other fans face a completely farcical lottery to try get an away ticket. (Not having a go, simply pointing out they do get privilege for their efforts)

Unfortunately the " wider football community" here in Scotland don't really give a * about what's happening with Celtic. The wider community stand back and watch one club being given preferential treatment from the SFA and biased refs every week. The wider community don't see the real * our supporters (especially the GB) get from the cops and probably see us as being similar to the huns UB. Although the protests re Higgins has had some attention across the globe from some ultra fan groups, it won't create enough interest for something to be done as we are not part of the major footballing leagues. I honestly don't know what shape or form our protests should take to rattle those * on our boards cages and I still think a silent protest won't achieve it.

And some need to realise at objecting to a game with no singing is * all in context to lives being ruined
See if fans who’s lives have been in turmoil and ruined because they create an atmosphere at cp feel a silent protest is what they want to do then they have mine (and going by last silence) every other attending fans support and backing
Also if rumours are true then everything they have done already, including previous protests and silence, has worked
The cancer that is BH needs removed much more than the team needs backing in a couple of games….his appointment would be a greater detrimental effect to supporting Celtic than the results on the pitch

The whole support has been ignored regarding this…..it’s not just the GB etc

Can you show me the proof of them getting first dibs on away tickets? Even if they did get first dibs it would be quite * right. These guys turn up at home games to East Fife in the early rounds of the cup and every single other game home and away etc.. giving them a genuine reason to expect to be near the head of the queue in ballots.

If he wasn’t being appointed, the board would have their go-to journalists Tweeting it.

The board will be banking on us thumping Sevco at the end of the month. Then Higgins will be appointed with relative ease.

I could be wrong here but are you not talking about the statement about Higgins being appointed rather than the silent protest. I know TC put their backing against Higgins appointment but not seen anywhere they backed the silent protest. Going by what I have read a good amount of fans are against the silent protest as it can only hamper the team on the park. The fans that are against the protest are backing not having Higgins anywhere near the club but think there must be a better way to put this across.

    @Noskeil

I’m guessing with you liking posts after my post asking you for proof of the GB hogging tickets from other fans that you don’t actually have any proof of it?
