You wonder if the * had bothered to read the GB's banner they'd have thought, "hang on, that's exactly what we're doing right now".

If the board cared about the fans it would have been so easy to point out the blatant hypocrisy. Uefa brought a their own political banner ffs!

Instead the board thought they had a brilliant chance of removing fans who don't fit in with their watered down, soulless, EPL-style, exit through the gift shop, sit down shut up buy-the-*-baseball-cap vision.

It's the exact same thing their doing just now, while popularity and enthusiasm at the club is high they see the opportunity to try and punt at few supporters that they think affect the image to potential customers/share buyers.

The traditional fanbase of the club is a victim of it's own success. It's no coincidence that long-standing fans are getting banned the same day the club sells out season books.

You have to acknowledge that some guys who weren't even at the game on Wednesday will find themselves banned for 2 matches simply because of the seat they sit in, or rather, they fit the demographic that the board have associated with the section they sit in.

The saddest part is, if something happened and the club had a downturn in it's fortunes, all the newfound supporters would go back to supporting man united or whoever else they supported during the 90s, and the fans that got punted would be welcomed back with open arms and encouraged to "bring back the thunder".

And the board know that, and that's exactly why they're happy to take advantage of people in this way.

What part of Celtic and politics did you miss, the part where Brother Walfrid set up dinner tables for the Catholic and Irish immigrants because they were starving, that political enough for you.

 

So you are not going because of this? By this I meant the ban of the GB and the actions of the board.

You're your own man, you can do what you please. But sitting at home doesn't make any difference. It won't do anything. Go to the game and make your voice heard, but most importantly support the players.

 

When were the days that you needed a degree?

The rebel culture at Celtic is probably at it's lowest point since I can remember. A combination of political correctness, modern day terrorism and media manipulation means this is the most difficult time for expressing love for a so called "terrorist organisation" than there ever has been.

There is so much stigma attached to going against the grain that fewer and fewer people are taking the risk.
