The board need to protect our club!! Everyone can take their political voices elsewhere, we, Glasgow Celtic are not and should never be a political vehicle.

Do you think they(GB) should drop the Irish repertoire altogether?

The name of the club and the colours we wear are political.

Irish politics is ingrained in every aspect of the club, whether you like it or not.

If the board want to remove Irish politics from Celtic then they can rename the club Glasgow FC and make the strips all white. Until then every time the name is mentioned or the team walk out onto the pitch they are representing centuries of Irish/Celtic heritage.

Everyone clearly has a view and I honestly believe as Celtic fans we can all see everyone's point of view.

The players on the park, Manager in the dugout and CL football must always come first and that cannot be negotiated.

Right now, we are on the highest of highs for a long time and that cannot be risked. Not when we endeavour to dominate Scotland and the CL spot which is going to be so lucrative for us considering we don't need to share with another club for the foreseeable future.

We will be a much stronger force either in the CL or EL this season when our players hit the ground running again. But this is all about the football. Nothing more, nothing less and every fan has a quality to make sure that it remains this way, this season!

The rules are there, the players play by them on the park, we should do it off the park. If you don't think you're breaking the rules then fine, if you know you are breaking the rules, just remember that it will only be to the detriment of the team that you follow on the park.

    Big C.

What is your opinion on the circumstances in which Glasgow Celtic was founded in the first place?

I agree our club should not be a political vehicle solely. However, we are a unique club given our history and origins. That should never be forgotten and always celebrated.

I take on board the banners/songs the other night touched a nerve with many people. Personally I don't see why but that's up to other people and their own opinions on things. But our club is heavily involved in political and social causes and always has been.
Football in general is heavily involved with politics as well in case it slipped some peoples' notice.

Green Brigade are an important part of the support as a whole and bring their own energy to the match. They bring a match to life. Some of their banners over the years esp at old firm games have been spot on.
All the good they bring does not however for one minute excuse them for their political banners the other day and the repeated use of pyro's, and disregard for health and safety. Some of them (and I stress some, as u cant blame every single person in that part of the stadium) think they are now bigger and better than the rest of the supporters there. They are getting arrogant towards their own fellow supporters and to the club... and they are challenging the clubs authority on a number of occasions. They need to tone it down and not stoop to the low class vitriol that the other half of Glasgow generally go towards. You can win an argument or a fight without dropping to that level. We are better than that. The feel good factor at the club is at an all time high, and we can't go shooting ourselves in the foot over things like this. Why ruin it?? The board (like them or not) have made a stance, Brendan has also said it, your fellow supporters are saying it...will you make that change? And as a final point, celebrate the history of the club, but you are playing in a club which is under UEFA's rules ..yes they dont have many fans, you can say f'off to them and moan about their treatment of clubs, but it's still under their watch, their rules. The fines will just lead to harsher punishment why push their button when you know club gets screwed over everytime?
