I wasn't at the match but I thought the banners were excellent.

The time and effort that the GB put into their displays, tifos, and chants is immeasurable and they should be applauded for it. How anyone can say these lads are not real Celtic fans is beyond me. As other posters have already said the PLC have certainly benefited financially from the GB over a number of years now.

Linfield supporters and their faux outrage is farcical. Loyalist paramilitary cheer leaders and supremacists are in no position to take any moral high ground.

Unfortunately I think the PLC will take sanctions against the GB as they have done in the past. Predictably they will go with the nonsense line of keeping politics out of football. What they really mean is keep politics they don't agree with out of football.

As one of the official pre-match songs played over the tannoy goes :

"Let the people sing their stories and their songs
And their music of their native land"

No idea but doubt it would have any effect on Rosenburg next week, if they did want to throw the book at us I'd imagine it would be the potential play off that could be in danger.

Was definitely an element of we like to give it but can't take it back from the Linfield fans last night, all they took was a bit of verbal and nothing like the bottles etc our players had to put up with last week, from where I was sitting there were clearly folk in that section looking to be offended.

As for that headline about Police cordons etc, that is way over the top and I saw many of their fans getting lead in on London Road, plenty of singing etc but nothing particularly nasty from them or any desire to start violence, that only seemed to happen inside

Where exactly - in my entire response to you - did I attempt to make some sort of correlation between our history, and you not being offended at being called a "peado"?

You're correct - people continue to make it and issue because IT IS STILL AN ISSUE!

You know fine well it is in no way simply a Celtic/Linfield issue....

The best way to deal with these fuds is to beat them on the field and ignore them as much as possible. If you are going to produce any banners about them then better to make it funny and laugh at them. Don't go down to their level it makes us no better than them.

The banner had nothing to do with Linfield or Rangers.

guys im hearing rumours that uefa are thinking of banning us from CL because of the banners. i lost many good friends catholic and protestant dring the troubles and with all due respect this banner doesnt belong in a football stadium. outside of it i will defend your right to fly it but the chance of being thrown out of CL before we are even in it is unthinkable. If that was even a fraction true Celtic wouldn't let the banners in.

UEFA are going to make millions from Celtic if we qualify, they don't mind fining us making more money.

Hearsay Sean. I too have lost people during the troubles. But I took no offence from their UDA/UVF banners, just as I didn't take offence at ours. We live in a society with too many constraints, some for the better. But as a whole another law or restrictions only give the government the power they desire over the working classes. Directly or indirectly and I speak for all backgrounds here.

People getting offended over songs and banners?? Grow up ffs.

However, we do need to stop inviting needless fines from UEFA. There may be a time when we receive more than a fine, which may end up causing us a win. Our support play a huge part in winning.

There is absolutely no chance of that happening.

If it's even reported, Uefa will give us another fine.

You suggested people like me find the history of celtic offensive? I dont understand what you mean (especially as my general point is that I dont take offence at any football related stuff).

The politics of northern ireland is an issue. Some fans make it a celtic vs linfield issue by flying silly banners and singing silly songs. In doing so they put one-upsmanship over the well being of their own team. I find it backwards that by objecting to that, then one is somehow at odds with the history of the given football team.
