Celtic Football Club refused to do so. That's the difference. The club have already stated they wish to distance themselves to the type of banners which were displayed yesterday.

No, you might try to use your really hard self and finger on me in an inappropriate way and I'm simply not that kind of boy.

As they did with the chanting which seen us fined before by UEFA, chanting which was plentiful last night - maybe the best in that regard for years.

By any objective criteria it's difficult to say anything particularly 'wrong' with the banners.

The one of Brendan in particular has a precedent among the club's own official news product.

I have no idea about Celtic the club, but I can't imagine the fans were.

The Green Brigade produced a huge anti-terror banner in 2010 and it was treated with the same hysteria as these banners last night.

Indeed. Another gutter for the GB naysayers - cannae say anything about the singing as it was from all over the stadium (sticking two fingers up to the club and UEFA), cannae say anything about the 'Sniper at Work' mock up as the Celtic View did similar a few years ago on the front page - just leaves the one banner for them to get in knots over then.

Both banners which referenced Brendan were fantastic and would have been more than enough.

I don't think we should concern ourselves with the internet stream watching Uncle Tims on here, the simple fact of the matter is a massive majority of match going Celtic supporters - both home and away - support the actions of the Green Brigade and the singing of republican songs inside the stadium.

To argue that is to deny reality as shown by last night. All these guys talking about the clubs reputation only see Celtic as 90 minutes on a Saturday to sit in their armchair and log in to their Kodi boxes, to those of us in attendance it is part of our DNA and no matter how much Internet hand wringing goes on that will not change.

The Celtic support will not be silenced, we don't care what the animals say

I spend upwards of £2000 a year following Celtic. Don't tell me that because I choose not to agree with a banner that was put up in Celtic park that I don't love Celtic the way someone who does agree with it. I have the right to express an opinion about what is displayed at my club. In fact, I have as much right as the GB do to unfurl banners in the name of the supporters, which would include me.

The problem I have with the Green Brigade is that, as has been mentioned in this thread, they have an agenda and a political outlook which they will continue to promote / display at Celtic games regardless of who tells them not to. In fact it may be that the more they are told not to do something the more they are likely to do it.

Where does it end? Bigger fines, Games behind closed doors, Banned from European competition.

Anybody that is willing to be lectured to and take any moral or political lessons from UEFA needs to have a * good luck at themselves in the mirror.

"Uncle Tims"... Must have taken you ages to think of that...

Anyway, correct me if I'm factually incorrect but:

    * If you've never stepped foot inside Celtic Park (or even Scotland) but unreservedly support the GB you're a real Celtic fan regardless of where you live.

    * If you get to matches as often as you can and have spent thousands of pounds doing so and live further afield but question the GB you're not a real Celtic fan

    * Every true Celtic supporter unreservedly supports the IRA and all their campaigns of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and anyone who doesn't isn't a real fan but taking the place of someone who is

    * The GB has a right to do whatever they want regardless of the consequences for Celtic Football Club - who they claim to love.

    * Anyone who questions the GB is not a true fan and should be banned from Celtic matches.

Could you confirm where I have misunderstood you as I would like to speak to someone in the club to confirm about their stance on giving out retrospective refunds.

I really hate threads like these.

Split the place right in 2 and theyres always alot of broad statements aimmed at certain people, nothing is black and white.

I'm a Republican and always have been, I love that our fans remember my countries struggle through song and the banner with Brendan at work is obviously supposed to be tongue in cheek as is the Brendan's undefeated army one, as I've said though I don't see the purpose of the 3rd one, in my eyes that's the only one that uefa would throw a fine or sanctions at us for because of how obvious of what it is.
