Listen folks I'd love to be in the middle of the GB every week. And I can see the ultra terrace culture rekindle the Ultra scene in Italy mid 70s to 80s and love it. I'm 42 now and don't feel I'm too old but it's a young guys game if your honest. But they get the whole scene along with the music and politics. The younger ones in their teens are coming along and wanting to make a name for themselves. They also are the lifeblood and deserve a voice. Fair play to the kids and their fire will burn brightly at different stages. They also need guidance not negativity.

great post mate. But I'm old enough too to remember songs starting up at all different parts of the ground, don't see why that can't still be the case. I'm in the standing section so get the best of the green brigade but it's great sometimes to hear the Jock Stein start up a song, usually the green brigade stop what they are singing and join in.

Agree with what your trying to say but to be fair to The Bhoys there was times last season where they were singing something and everyone at that side of the stadium were joining in so the GB start singing it 30 seconds behind them

If we can get these groups to sing off the same hymn sheet so to speak and not be rivals I dont see a problem with it.

I really like the green brigade and how they have grown to become a major asset to the team when we play at parkhead but they too started small with few followers so any new groups wanting to add more colour and atmosphere to cheer on their team gets the thumbs up from me.

Its just a power play by the board, they show the GB how easy it is for them to * them over and hope the GB fall in line.
    It'll be sorted by Wednesday.

Nobody should compete, they should work together.

Although I find them a bit cloak and dagger, I prefer the unapologetic fanatical support of the team and Irish Republicanism/Socialism of the GB.

We desperately need another ultras group in the Jock Stein though.

I love the green brigade, love what they stand for and love what they bring to Celtic Park and every away venue they visit. In almost every way they set a great example, but whether they like it or not their pyro display at the end of last season was naive and daft. Trust goes both ways - the board has done a lot of great work in the last couple of years to promote the GB (standing section etc.) and on 99% of occasions the GB have repaid that, but they know as well as all of us that the pyro display was against safety rules set above board level and therefore it spat in the board's face a bit, especially during a match being broadcast live on tv. The board have every right to therefore give them a slap on the wrist and demand that they "fall in line". Both should be pulling in the same direction anyway.

They are two separate entities, the board and the GB. They will never run smoothly together at all times and neither they should. The board run the club and the bhoys keep the passion burning. The board will not always look on it this way.

I'm in no way saying they should be one and the same, but both of their primary purposes should be to the betterment of Celtic Football Club. The GB, as great as their displays are and as much as I 100% agree with their politics, need to remember that the rules are made by people above our board. Those are the people who set standards for safety (including safe standing) and the people our board have to answer to when defending the Green Brigade and our standing section. At the same time, the board should be aiming to do what's best for Celtic by having the GB back in their section ASAP. As much as the board and the GB are never going to see eye to eye 100% of the time, they both need to be big enough to do what's best for the club.

The board are just flexing their muscle after the flares incident last season.

Putting aside any feelings i have about flares the bald facts are they are dangerous and not needed.

The GB need to box clever.

GB used flares, club made their life difficult on our return to Celtic Park.

I fully expect them to be in place on Wednesday night.

I certainly hope so and maybe a nice banner or two to say hello to the Belfast huns before we send them packing back to the 17th century where they live/belong.

Why are the board saying no to the drums. * team is flying, safe standing, amazing developments around the stadium...I hope its not a case of "we know absolutely better" cos killing that 1 little bit of atmosphere would be a mistake. Going for ten in a row we aint gonna go undefeated and its that drum that will keep the fans bouncing through it from trophy to trophy
