£42 to see us clinch the title live or £90 for an Adidas St Patrick's day top.

I know which one I'd rather fork out for.

United are well within their rights to do so. After all, Celtic pretty much do the same thing.

The basic price for a ST holder to purchase Champions League tickets, was £46 per game as part of a 4 game package (total £184 for the 4 group games). Now, the CL games are always available on tv, there is no subject to the Saturday 3pm blackouts or whatever else, but fans want to be at these games if possible, and despite the fact the club makes massive amounts from these games just from UEFA, tv deals etc, it doesn't stop the club from inflating the prices for supporters accordingly also, because of supply and demand.

An * ST starts at £608, or roughly £33 per SPFL game.Bit of a difference between £33 and £42 per ticket.

And obviously, it's higher for non-ST holders.

Is it as extreme as the fleecing that goes on at Ipox? Thankfully not, but none the less, it's pure supply and demand.

Celtic fans want to be at these types of games. Derbys, Europe and historical games, such as clinching et al.

So why is this an issue when United have done this, knowing that supporters want to be there to (probably) witness the Bhoys get the point that they need to clinch the title once again, when Celtic do virtually the same thing?

In principal it shouldn't be this way, prices should be arranged at start of the season and stay that way

While I do agree with that, broadly speaking, is it not hypocritical for Celtic supporters to protest and point fingers at United, when Celtic as a club does the very same thing?

As previously noted, Celtic take advantage of their fans to jack up prices for the European games, for example, even though the club makes serious bank from UEFA and from the relevant tv deals, so it is hypocritical.

As for the United doing 'home' fans for £10, again putting it simply like that is being disingenious also. The £10 is for United ST holders to 'bring a friend for a £10'... They are not the only club that does this, indeed, multiple clubs have done this, this season. Has there been protests at all of those as well? Are not clubs entitled to try to engage fans and look to build these, perhaps looking to entice more fans to perhaps return more regularly etc.

Celtic doesnt have that problem, other clubs do. Thats just a reality.

I get the idea of supply and demand but I think tickets prices should be set for the season personally. BR was shaking his head but it's no his wages getting hoovered when it's folk wanting to support the team.

Same should be said about the prices to watch football on streaming services. To watch it legitimately you have to have about 5 different sports networks and pay about 70 quid plus a month to watch the football

Whether it's right or wrong, I remember when I had a ST book during MO'N times that averaged just shy of £25 per game. Adjusting for inflation alone makes that £45 per game in 2025.

We sold our full allocation there today , we will sell out season tickets again this year with 5 year waits to get a ST. In fact you can't even join the waiting list due to "unprecedented demand ". We will sell out at Hampden with plenty missing out on ballots and others hoovering up the hospitality packages. We will sell out our UCL packages. The supply and demand of it all is pretty clear to see hence the increase on ST prices. The demand sets the market ,and is a byproduct of the success on the pitch. Very hard to argue it as unjustifiable, and absolutely no evidence that people are being priced out. People can (and will) be annoyed at price hikes , but if you want to make change you would actually need to vote with your feet , but demand is that high I can't see that being a feasible means of protest either. The club will look at maximise turnover at every opportunity, especially as we look to become an established ,competitive European side.

When I was living in Dundee ten year ago, I don't think I paid more than £20 for an away ticket. Cheeky as *.

If they do it again, just have everyone buy tickets for the home end cos it was empty after half time anyway.
