Quite apt we open this thread today, with 'James Von Doom' of 20MinuteTims fame making a * * of it yet again, with some more 'edgy' views. This time on racism, defending Maurice Ross.
A really weird guy, formerly of the DR. He may still do some work for them? I find their 'fan podcast' unbearable as a result.
Partial to the Cynic gang, they produce some really great stuff. Some pish as well, but definitely more of the former. Favourites being; 'The Agenda' and 'The Biscuit Tin'. Some really great features on past players and games as well. The sheer volume and quality of content is very impressive for independent fan media.
Used to listen to ACSOM. Think it's gone down hill in it's new daily format. Some of the 'guests' are really poor. What's seldom is wonderful and all that.
Harry Brady's pod gets the odd spin too. Again I struggle with some of his guests. Recent 'The Game' series has been good. The pod he done on Boavista away was superb.
Tried the 'Celtic Soul' podcast. It was OK. Again, giving a platform to some utter fuds (good evening Mr Low). Lost interest as a result but may give it another go.
That's my lot!Last edited: May 6, 2021packybhoy likes this. -
The cynic is #1. North curve is good but not enough content.

"I think the issue, without hearing from the player involved you’re only assuming, lies in the fact that MR placed an African stereotype onto a Dutchman purely because he was black. Not many folk saying that though."
Quoted it just in case some folk can't see it. That isn't defending Ross, or racism. Also, the picture you've posted doesn't state that his comments weren't racist, he was questioning whether making a racist comment makes a person racist. It's not the same thing.Bayern Bru likes this. -

Easily my favourite Celtic podcast. Good craic too. -
4 Tims, Cynic and Twenty minute tims the ones I'll listen to every week on Spotify.
Acsom was good but it's far too PC and sold out ages ago imo. An episode a day is too much and as someone else said, the majority of guests are brutal.AdamRS likes this. -

Started listening to ACSOM around Christmas time & really enjoyed it. Thought PJD kept the conversation going & didn't stick to the same topic for too long. He then cut down the days he was the host & the other members starting hosting which was brutal.
Since gave up on it & may look elsewhere. -

Don’t know some of the podcasts suggestions but will definitely get my teeth into a few. I think this thread gives us the opportunity to weed out the average shows and if you believe an episode is good or important then please fire it up.

One thing that annoyed me was the podcast was calling the Huns game the Glasgow derby on their banner & they were all taking the high ground over fans calling them Sevco rather than Rangers FFS

ACSOM is pretty hit and miss. They do too many shows.
