Fair enough but I'd rather pay over the odds like a lot of people were saying when we signed Scott Brown rather than have nobody who can score.

I really hope we're not debating this at the end of the season (as in them winning the title) because I'll be blaming the lack of money our manager has had available this term rather than the manager himself or the players.

Fair enough but bear this in mind first

Strachan stated publicly that he was happy with the squad and wasnt fussed about adding to it as he believed that he had enough at his disposal to win the league, I'd agree with his assessment. If we get injury free, we'll coast this home and complete the treble.

Bearing this in mind, Lawwell wasnt going to over the odds for players, if GS stated that he definitely needed a player or two in key positions to win the league THEN I believe Lawwell would have gone over the odds for the players they really wanted.

The thing is but lads everything in tams statement is true and there are to many on here that seem to want to defend the team when we have been right awful, i just dont get it my self.i will always argue that we made a mistake by not spending in the last transfer window regardless of the title.

Its all about the squad we want to see good football been played but we just look deplated and disjointed which is not nice for us, Its all about us improving as a team but were not improvingthe last 3 years this team has played together and by playing together you are supposed to get better, We are getting worse. Our attendances are defenently down because people dont want to pay for season books to go and watch frustration, not only season books, you also pay for refreshments, transport, alcohol, etc people are just not going to pay to watch garbage and thats what we have been all year:87:

I have spoken to a number of hoops fans face to face and a number are not renewing there cards, ts down to frustration , every body on here doesnt like to see the team struggle!!!!

We dont have the funds, but we have some which should be spent or should alreaddy have been spent imo, But we also have the accademy which will come in handy because youth is the only way forward unless we go to some super league, etc etc

Even releasing these statements are no good to us, its all pish, we get set a budget for transfers and wages and the club in general can come out and say what they like or feed us crap coz it doesnt really matter!!! how many of them are botherd???? We can sell a player for 10 million these days and i guarentee the 10 million wont get used to improve the club.

It seems its all about balancing the books and making profit but a would rather spend something to improve us!!!! better scouting is also needed at the club imo because who told strachan donati could play football.3 million or so wasted, but fair enough gained back for his goal aginst shakter.

I recall this talk and couldn't really believe it. If it is all true that WGS was happy with what he had or still has for that matter then it's him just trying to be a hero and win the league on the cheap.

I don't believe this though. He's not daft enough surely to release all those strikers on loan in the same month while we have a player who takes several weeks every season to recover from injury, leaving us with 2 forwards! I reckon he was pretty sure of another striker joining the club but something backfired.

I very much doubt WGS would come out to the media and tell us this either for obvious reasons. The main one being that we COULD afford to buy a player.

Maybe I should qualify what I meant.

I'm glad the club is on a sound financial footing as without this the future would be bleak.

I think youth is the way to go but they require a couple of older heads for guidance and maturity. I did hope we would stregthen the team in January because we have been playing rubbish.

However, as we didn't I hope we will get 2 established players in in the summer but the biggest difficulty will be attracting those type of players for wages that will not be a burden on us.

I've addressed my opinion to your points to you before and I've no intention of post it all again, just do a search of my posts if you want a refresher.

If we dont balance the books and take risks, the probability of ending up like Rangers becomes very high. Do you want that or do you want a sensible business approach in a global recession? This all comes back to people not properly assessing the reality that Celtic and SPL is in.

We did try that approach that you harp on about, it was under MON and it became unsustainable within 4 years despite his success and that was in a better ecnomic climate and when the SPL was an attractive league to play in because we could compete with the best of Europe regarding wages. What realistic chance do you think that we have of repeating this???

There are brilliant businessmen and a self made billionaire on our board and they dont like our chances of that but you do, whats your credentials?

I've already answered the question and proved without doubt that you are spinning the truth.

That shows that she understands the reality and problems that Celtic are faced with. Chivs stated that he'd want 2 players at any cost.

    She states it again
