Got to laugh at the references to PL market when we're in the market for guys who can't get a game in the division below

So why didn't we look in the Norwegian market then?

Two sources? One was his bedside lamp talking to him and the other was a message he saw in the clouds when he went out for a pint

I notice there was no mention of shareholders bonuses. £39m up to £69m in 3 years will no doubt see a tidy little increase on their annual bonuses.

Literally the only people benefiting from all the money in the bank. The rich getting richer, it's the tory way.

"we naturally expect a seasonal downturn in earnings in the second half of the year. In general terms, earnings are biased towards the first half of the year aligned to the receipts from European competition"

You know, it is possible to still be in Europe after Christmas

I know you are more than likely looking for a reaction, but I fully expect you are a tossed aff wreck reading the figures.

Is it only me or should there not be about £102million in cash, How can you have £72million in cash, profit £30million and end up with £67million. About £35million has gone somewhere lol

For example the interim from the year before we had £25.6million, profited £33.9million and then in the interim had £59.2million - bank debt which lines up.

This does not and there is no mention of them loaning £35million or setting £35million aside.

So they said basically they paid the corporation tax bill of £11.5m off the summer £72m * ludicrous statement at AGM.

They then claimed to have spent £13m on new signings then talk about £23m spent on contracts etc no * way does that add up! £10m spent on contract renewals not a chance

They have then basically produced a set of * packet interim figures where you are struggling to see where else it went.

It's * wild. Even @Foley1888 who is the best on here in terms of figures is bamboozled!

It's possible we could still end up with over £70m cash at bank again at year end 30th June if a big sale is made before then. Its * wild man, paying 25% corporation tax on your profits is * scandalous. If only you got your main 3 or 4 targets done before pre season starts on 1st July eh....

To include the wages for new contracts at £23m is a laugh. As if we won’t be selling the players before the end of their new contracts.

And amazingly there will still be fans who are adamant we should follow a regressive wage structure (that doesn't apply to Executive Profit Bonuses) and spend no more than @ £3m on gems and projects.

    This.

The way it reads, Lawwell almost says it snuggly.
That we had targets identified, but they didn't come...oh well

Sorry, but if we are meant to have a great recruitment team (no laughing at the back), then their should be 3 or 4 targets for each position worth chasing.
Then another 4 or 5 that can be deemed "second" choice

Are they seriously telling us they identified one winger, one striker (lol) and one left back for the window and since we couldn't get two of the three, we just shrugged it off and said "lol, January be hard. Look at engerland"

    Absolute useless and inept *.

There is many a thing that this board (lawwell mostly) has done and said that would get most chairmen/CEOs sacked for corporate negligence, yet the * remains.

Imagine you're the head lad at Tesco come Christmas time and you've lined up 1000 turkeys for each of your stores, all from one supplier - said supplier says "sorry lads, not selling my turkey's this year"
Ye think that Tesco lad would remain in a job if he just shrugged it off and went "oh well, no Christmas dinner then, look at Australia, they don't eat turkey"

Naw, he'd be * sacked on the spot for not bothering his lazy * to go and source another * supplier.

"Inept" is being kind to this *.

Also, what's with them double counting player wages?

They're chucking in the new contracts for Abada, CCC, MoR, Hatate un with the money spent over two windows (£23m), but that's future wages that get counted as wages in the results anyway, all part of the normal expenditure.

They think we are buttoned up the back?

You can't double count the wages and pretend you've spent more than you have.

Our recruitment strategy is a blindfold on Lawwell and a dart at a Panini Album. Lawwell is in one room and the album is in another.
