Mainly when it comes to better rates for business loans, that means we will have to pay less back in interest. Plus given we are in a league that is widely regarded as not being able to generate much in the way of income it demonstrates we are doing relatively well and are run sensibly. Together this just makes us look more professional and a better bet for us to be backed/trusted financially. (I think the hotel project will demonstrate this).
To answer the man utd question in one word - Sky. The money poured into that league by them, with the exposure it gets (gives itself/promotes itself) pretty much guarantees they are viewed that way. If you wiped sky away we would become one of the wealthiest Clubs in the UK overnight.

Good point, im sure I seen something recently that Man Utd have paid £500million or something in interest on their debt.

because clubs in the big leagues can run with extremely large debts doesnt mean it would be good for us in a small provincial league with little growth to be expected, infact the opposite as the top end of football is becoming a closed shop like the rest of the rich in society its the the masses and the ordinary that will have to watch out for themselves very carefully in these revolutionary times for the rich

I have no idea of what are you ranting about, other than being the last person defending the tory * and greedy Peter here. Choose better people to idolize, for a start, some of our players.

£18 m for the hotel complex and supposed to be due to be finished by Feb 2020 which means they will have to start it by end of this season to allow it to be finished on time.
Good thing about the hotel is that guests of the hotel will be allowed to park there on matchdays without buying permit.

Firstly I didn't rant, I simply stated the obvious to your ill informed pish post. If you want to throw words like corruption about either back it up, which we all know you can't as there is no corruption at our Club, or shut up and stop talking *. :50:

As for your final sentence, * * :giggle1:

Change of subject, but it's interesting that we are now hitting the 100/102million mark now, and our TV deal really hasn't changed that much in the last ten years or so.
Thus, we are doing all of this on our own.

The interesting part is that if we can do it, theoretically the Huns can, the sheep can and the two Edinburgh clubs can.
They all operate in the same market and respectfully have access to a demographic that could help support that level of finance.
Should they be able to convince them to go and support.

That theoretically could be 5 teams in the spfl who could generate revenues that the bottom half of the epl was generating a few years ago, all without that TV money.

Romantic idea, but how good would it be if they could all figure that out and make this league actually better (not just us being in a poor form) without the need of outside finance.

about half our revenue came from champions league, no way another side except mabye rangers are getting above £50 million revenue anytime soon without champions league.

I don't think any other team has brought in more than £15 million yet for perspective

Aberdeen turned over 15 million 230 grand back in 25 th of November 2017 with games against Burnley player sale of Hayes as well should be bit past that 15 mill mark their plans are to turnover 20 million most season more than capable if they qualify for Europe league hubs are not too far behind either.... League can never compete with epl finance wise but if our other top six or seven clubs can get into a financial position of strength that they can compete with championship clubs down south where they don't need to sell then a battle will have been won

    * aye good point.

Though, a Europa run for two of them could still pull them up to 60 mill or so...if they do the rest of it right. But they won't.

the main advantage championship clubs have is that they get £7 million prize money each, not taken into account teams that get parachute payments.

for comparison heres our prize money, trailing quite a bit behind hampionship clubs, who also get more fans through the gates, a really strong new tv deal would be essentially to bridge gap as european income is too inconsistent tbh.

    Premiership

2.3 mil for lawwell tomorrow is * obscene.
He’s overseen a club in significant decline since last year.

Does Brendan get a big bonus tomorrow as well?
Maybe that’s why he was in such a good mood yesterday despite getting humiliated.

Page 58 says we have £42.5m cash in bank as of 30/06/18?

We got £20m thereabouts for Dembele on 31st August so that’s after that £42.5m above.

There really should be no reason why we can’t spend big (£20m+) in the next two windows. Fair enough we need to keep some back for failure to qualify for the Champions League but still that Dembele money at a minimum should be put straight back into transfer fees.

You have to ask yourself why they don't reinvest this into the squad when inflation is eating it.

It's disgusting and should only be payable when we reach the champions league. He gets more money than the old tv deal gives us. He needs the sack.
