That Scott McDonald had what it took to be "up there" with the great strikers if he had stayed for longer.

Jorge Cadete. He was the deadliest striker I've ever seen in the hoops. Yep, even better than Henrik. Larsson was definitely the better all-round player, but in terms of pure goalscoring ability and sheer prolificness I have to give the edge to Cadete.

Him leaving in '97 is still my biggest disappointment as a Celtic fan to this day.

I really don't think he had the ability and attitude to. Before he left all sign of work rate and passion had left him and he was just getting on people backs.

IMO he would've ended up just like a Boyd. Looking at his performances for Middlesborough he hasn't regained his work rate yet.

if mad tommy G got more of a chance i think he would have, strachan saying he didnt fit into a system was nonsense in my book

he was certainly getting the chants even when he wasnt playing, just warming up, which was mental

I remember when Stephen Peason first arrived he looked the part, that 1-0 win against Barca he was phenomenal, MOTM for me. He ripped Michael Reizager to shreds and he should have been red carded.

One of the best performances I have seen from a Celtc player, it showed so much promise!! Much the same way Liam Millers performances against Lyon an Anderlecht got everyone going!!

If Pearson had managed to keep that going he would have been a Celtic legend, but for whatever reason it didnt work out!!

I don't think Pearo would ever have achieved legend status but I did like him as a player and felt sorry for him that he wasn't given more opportunities to show what he could do under Gordon Strachan.

I'll always remember the way he turned around the match at Tynecastle when we beat Hearts 3-2 on New Year's Day. That was a teriffic performance.

brilliant post m8. I agree . Tony was a big gentleman, who loved celtic . Its sad that his name has been blackened by his managerial role at the club. Hope he gets back into management soon, cus i still consider him a gd manager. As u said m8 .. it just didnt work out at celtic .

Is scoring 50 goals in a season not a 'legendary' achievement ?

People seem to forget just how good Nicholas actually was.

There has been few better than him.
