Samaras just doesnt provide the threat domestically to merit starting many games.

He goes through bursts of scoring and contributing in games maybe for 7-8 matches then has 7-8 quiet games.

 

Spot on. Unless the Champions League boards are up, he is usually a waste of a jersey. Goes through the motions far too often in League & Domestic Cup games.

 

we also play an un-Sammy style in most domestic games. Samaras is best when galloping into space. We cram our entire offense into the final twenty yards against anyone not in the CL (and against zombie fc back when they were a team).

The opposite of Sammy is Stokes who is better playing in tight spaces than he is with lots of space (though i have seen him involved in some decent breakaways on occasion)

 

From the stats Commons is our POTY, easily.
