Agreed but he's getting the goals just now, I can definitely see him improving on that aspect of his game.

For the people that dont like Stokes, he has more assists than anyone else in the team. Explain that.

Did Virgil not get 2 assists today?? Commons (1st) and Johansen?

 

Is it possible to get an in-depth analysis of the games against Hamilton or Inter? I'd like to see the number of passes, passing accuracy and so on. I think the way we play now, with shorter and direct passing, it must reflect in the numbers as well.

 

Johansens the keeper deflected a shot from Virgil, that's not an assist.

 

That's still an official FIFA assist so I think it can be considered one.

If Virgil doesn't take the shot the goal doesn't happen.

 

Stokes has contributed to more goals than anyone else, Johanson is the only lad with better uefa cup stats than Commons, and Gudetti has been involved in 19 goals. You wouldnt know it from reading some of the posts on here

Load of bollocks though. It's not an assist, his shot wasn't good enough to go in and Johansen followed up on the keeper spilling it infront of him.

If he had not shot no goal would have occurred. So VVD was caused the goal to happen. i.e. He assisted the goal.

 

It wasnt counted as assist by the official match report, thought that was an assist though.

 

doesn't count as an assist though, same way as if Guidetti gets fouled in the box and commons scores a pen, Guidetti wouldn't get an assist for it even though he caused the goal to happen

 

Thats wrong, getting a penalty is a assist even if the fouled player scored it himself.
