Im pretty sure im right. Samaras never assisted any goals the day, Brown played the 1-2 with Stokes for the first. Samaras scored the 2nd from Stokes shot and then Stokes was running when the Motherwell player poked it through to Griffiths for the 3rd.

A lot of those websites probably get the odd one wrong as it wont be Celtic fans doing it. Like a number of websites gave the assist for Forrests goal against Aberdeen a few weeks ago to Griffiths even though it was Brown too. They also give assists for winning penalties which is Samaras first one against Aberdeen at the start of the season, I dont do that although it is a kind of assist but then what about winning a freekick too someone scores from?

The one they give Samaras against Ajax too, Samaras hit a shot that bounced off a guy and went out to the edge of the box for Kayal to score.

 

Next season i'll add in the winning of penalties as a seperate thing though as it's probably good to see/remember who wins the most penalties. Stokes seems to win near enough all our penalties, probably won a good 7/8 since we signed him.

 

Stokes' stats are looking a lot more healthy for the season now.

He really is a model of consistency. (Year on year, not game on game)

If he could get to 20 goals coupled with his assists that is a good return for someone we all know isn't suited to being an out and out striker.

its easy to look at that and pic faults, but the fact ambrose has scored more than brown is laughable i really think we could do so much better, and thats our captain aswell, i no hes not there to score goals but hes only been involved in 7 goals all season, as i said looks bad on paper

 

1 goal more is hardly laughable but i do agree Brown should score more

 

Considering he has got forward a lot more this season he probably should be weighing in with a few goals.

That being said though, CB's generally get among the goals because they go up for corners and free kicks. Broony is likely to be one of the players to hang back in that situation.

 

Brown brings so much more to the team than stats.

 

i understand everybodys opinions and i did say it looks bad on paper, i just cant see him adding that part to his game, either scoring goals or creating, from the middle of the park in this league id like him to add more.

It's amazing how quickly Griffiths is racking up the goals and assists. Credit where it's due.

Stokes' season looks very healthy now.

Would love us to sign an out and out striker and see Stokes keep Commons on his toes for the second striker role.
