It's not a new problem either, have been issues with it last few seasons at this time of year.

Yet another example of spending money on that pesky inconvenient football side of the business being ignored so as not to effect those big fat bonuses.

The last time I've remember the pitch being complained about was in the failed 10IAR season. Ominous.

Think I said this a few months ago that our pitch has never been the same since Brendan’s first time here and he wanted some new super duper modern pitch. Has been a disgrace ever since.

Certainly was in appalling condition the last few games and cannot be helping the team given how we want to pass the ball and the speed of play we want to operate at.

Certainly not defending the pitch but it’s probably the most minor issue affecting the speed of play we want to operate at, the 100 passes about the defence being the most obvious issue

Not saying the poor state of the pitch is the only issue but to dismiss the pitch when its as bad as it currently is as being a minor issue is risible.

yeh the pitch is * so just pass it back and let the defenders pass it out for a few minutes.

pitch is less of our concerns can at least wait until the summer, but our signings cant wait till then we are a shitshow in the back ground. Why our players cant adapt to playing in a cow field or on astro turf is * bonkers when some of them are on 20k plus.

Remember we changed it to that £2m/£3m ‘Dutch Grass’ pitch under Ronny? Sticks in my head cos all the Dutch Grass - Efe Ambrose approves jokes.

But before then, it was * peerless, all year round. Relay it every summer back then I imagine we still do. That experiment was *, and I think BR’s 2nd season we changed it again. There was talk of a hybrid pitch like the Emirates one, but don’t know if that went through or just talk. But ever since we changed it to that under Ronny, never recovered from it.

This happened under Ange in the winter as well, we adapted to the * pitch but, Ange done an interview where he got asked because the heavy pitch he got us to play more direct not surface passes and he had a beautiful answer - guys on the pitch will know when to do that more than me, was probably Callum who done that.

We won’t have that freedom this year. Ange had such a strict style and system and ethos, but a * trust and freedom for those playing. We’ll continue slow build up passing on a pitch we can’t play quick passes across the ground on under BR though.

Whole stadium is turning into a dump under this board’s watch as well.

Apart from the Celtic Way (which is a massive upgrade to be fair) and a set of disco lights there’s been nothing. Can’t even be bothered to give it a lick of paint or sweep up the crumbling concrete in the concourses.

We installed the hybrid pitch during Rodgers first time in charge, everything was redone, new drainage, new undersoil heating and the new surface, a while after it was first put in they found there was some disease in the soil attacking the roots so it didn't bed in right away, but that was years ago, there's really no excuse for the state it's in today, the ground staff are just doing a * poor job maintaining it.

We definitely did change it under Rodgers, remember seeing the pics during the close season.
