    You don't believe the polls?

I don’t believe that migration will stop regardless of the government in charge, especially with the ever increasing temperatures around the equator.

I see. Do you mean you think climate change will make it a choice between huge levels of migration and tens or hundreds of millions starving? Well, I guess that may happen depending on how climate change pans out. If that kind of catastrophe does happen, though, Scotland, Ireland and Celtic won't actually be a thing for long and questions about the stadium are moot. Absent an absolute horror situation like that, though, the polling is pretty clear now.

Just based on what I’ve read, increasing temperatures will lead to a lot of migration into Europe, especially with the UK population expected to grow by 5 million people by 2035.

It's not inevitable, though. It's a political choice to let people in. And as I say, the pressure is growing on the political class to change that decision. Just looking at the polling.

Unless climate change turns out to be so bad that systems start to fail, in which case talk of whether or not to expand the stadium is utterly moot.

I feel it is. So we need to build a 100,000 seater, minimum. :BR1:

We need to expand the stadium because of migration, that's a new one.

The stadium's actually been pretty chocca this year. I've no got a season ticket and have had to refresh the ticket page and call in favours for even quite * games.

It seems like every few years they go through all the processes to expand and then just bottle it over costs. But it's not getting any cheaper. Just do it and start recouping the costs sooner rather than later.

Not really, the stadium was originally built to give migrants somewhere to watch a team they could support.

Aye thanks for the history lesson mate :giggle1:

I totally buy we'll be getting more migrants, I just don't see them heading to Celtic Park in their droves. They haven't so far.

Not really fussed about the attendance but it would be great to see the stadium all the same level and without view restrictions, options for the space above the mainstand are limitless and something we should certainly explore with potential to something groundbreaking and unique.

That'll be for when Rangers finally die and there's only one major team in Glasgow. So a couple more years at this rate.

We usually start each season £15 million ahead of Sevco due to the season ticket sales and having an extra 10,000 seats sold, if we expanded the main stand and added another 10,000-15,000 seats to take it to 70/75,000, Sevco would completely crumble as every season We would be £20m+ ahead in terms of sales and revenue, definitely something to think about long term.

No one made that point. Migration was mentioned as a counter to a declining birth rate.
