    We shouldn't worry about the star rating of our stadium because the only thing that matters with stadiums is the atmosphere and everyone here knows that is 6-star ;)

    You obviously were not at a game in the 2nd half of last season , the atmosphere was dreadful and it heaped pressure on the team , we need to be sure to keep signing and get behind the team and i think they results will follow

    What I was meaning was forget about spending money in order to appease UEFA/FIFA whatever for whatever reason, what really matters is atmosphere, which working on is free :50:

    I can't believe Hampden is 5 star when in some seats you can't see the * pitch!

    What use is th 5 stars. If any big games would be coming to Glasgow there would be two stadiums in front of us for the game. No way is the SFA going to support big games going to Celtic Park.

    couldnt give a * about 5 star status. i would rather see a safe standing section to improve atmosphere instead of cosmetic gloss. another reason to hate thatcher, all-seaters kill atmosphere imo.

    Castle Greyskull is a 5 star stadia? Jesus, you'd think with those animals in it most weekends it's lucky to have the same rating as a timeshare in Bosnia.

    There are no 5 star stadiums. Uefa changed the rating system in 2006, the highest is 4.

    Category four

    • Stadiums must be all-seated and have a minimum capacity of 8,000;
    • The playing surface dimensions must be 105 metres in length and 68 metres in width and entirely fence-free;
    • The playing surface must either be natural turf or FIFA-licensed artificial turf;
    • The substitute benches must be covered, seat at least 13 people and positioned at least 5m from the touchline;
    • The dressing rooms must seat at least 25 people;
    • There should also be a separate delegate's room, doping control station, and first aid room;
    • Stadiums must have CCTV both inside and outside and a security control room;
    • Must provide seating for at least 1,500 VIPs, 200 visiting team VIPs, and 400 square metres of a hospitality area;
    • The floodlights must light the pitch to an illuminance of at least 1400 lux towards fixed cameras and 1000 lux towards mobile cameras;
    • There must be at least three TV studios within the stadium with dimensions of 5x5x2.3 metres;
    • In case of power failure, independent back-up power supply to provide equivalent light intensity without interruption;
    • Minimum of 150 VIP secured parking;
    • No standing spectators allowed.

    The board has looked into increasing the capacity by 8,000 seats but admitted that it is too costly for the moment, however they hope that thus won't be a problem for too much longer. If everything goes to plan we should have renovations begun by 2015 t the latest to increase capacity.

    I'm pretty sure we're not 5* because we never applied for review, as Rangers did when Ipox was refurbished. Sepp Blatter certainly though we had a 5 star stadium.
