    Worse window in a very long time, came out looking worse and this is because of downgrading and fans eat it up for years while the mismanagement of our club happened. But we did try though.........

    Griffiths is on the same level as Hooper or McDonald. And a bet you wouldn't say the same about the other two.

    Although neither three would have walked into a striker role at the club in the last 12 years previous to when McDonald signed in 2007.

    That's what I was trying to say there as well.

    I find it hard to believe. Surely we would have realised pretty * early on in negotiations that it wasn't happening.

    "Mr Michu, are you willing to drop down from your £65k a week to £25k a week and play here in Scotland? Or would you prefer to ride out your Swansea contract and get a better move on a free next summer?"

    I think the problem is the opposite, we know we'll win the league with the bare minimum spent and if we don't get to the champions league then it's not the end of the world as we'll just sell one of our better players to make up for it (despite the fact that we're told we don't budget for the cl anyway). Lawwell and co get their juicy bonuses anyway so it doesn't matter much to them.
