Celtic legend comes under many categories for me. Talent, skill, bond with fans, length of service, trophies won.

You don't need all of them to be a Celtic legend but some combination of those falls into the category of legend for me, especially length of service.

Lennon is a bona fide Celtic legend. Player, captain, youth coach, first team coach, manager, shitload of trophies, European final.

That's before you even mention the vile conditions he had to work under to represent his football club.

Perfectly summed up for me. It's about more than just ability on the pitch.

Tommy Burns wouldn't be mentioned as one of our greatest ever players but he's one of the greatest ever Celts.

So you use different standards to class different players as legends? So somebody like Lenny would need to be world class as a player for you to judge him as a legend, while another player would not?
