It's hard not to count Lubo Moravcik in this column. Some of his goals and skills are the stuff of legend. People will still be talking about the time he trapped the ball with his backside for years.

Man maybe I'm too lenient on the word 'legend'. I would say Boruc was, because that's what he was - a * legend!

Brown isn't too far off imho.

Tbh theres been many good/great players in our recent history. But in the last 15 years or so, Larsson is the only legend.

I bow down to your trolling excellence :smiley-laughing002:

I wasn't even looking for a bite.. I was sort of pointing out how ridiculous it is to call Guidetti a legend, which I clearly didn't do in my signature.. As someone claimed I had :smiley-laughing002:

Aye, I'd say that Larsson is the only "proper" legend. He's a legend because he is one of the best players to have ever graced this club and for staying so long even though he could've left for Man Utd. No disrespect to the likes of Lennon or Brown, bu Larsson is a class above both.

A man with the best and most expensive Celtic squad ever. ( well most expensive ever) and a squad comparable to the great Jock Stein's late 60's and early 70's squad, who couldn't win anything in 2003 .
Maybe if he had spent some time with the squad , well we will never know .

Technically are all legends to me as they are the best players of me growing up and who id tell my grand weans about.

There are others who id say could class themselves as good players but not in that company of youd be happy for them to grace any Celtic team like Ambrose, Caldwell, McManus, Mulgrew, Matthews, Robson, Hartley, Kayal, Ki, Forrest, McDonald, Vennegoor, Stokes, Griffiths, Samaras.

It is all about opinion. You state you've known Martin for over 50 years and brought up exam cheating. FFS grow up. You sound like a bitter individual. Did he steal your dinner money or poke his finger in your cream bun? In my opinion Martin will always be remembered as a legend. The guy who fixed all the wrongs created by Barnsey and King Kenny. The man who woke us up out of our long slumber. The man who had the opposition shaking in their boots, and made our fiercest rivals look very ordinary and unimportant. At a time that they still had a very good squad. To say he bullied the Huns is an understatement. * Advocatt actually aged 10 years by the time MON was finished with him. MON the same guy who led us all on that roller coaster Seville ride. Unlucky to lose and outplayed at times the next years Champions league winners. Also had Parkhead jumping on aregular basis. Waiting lists for season tickets etc. and the domestic trophies to boot. Sutton, Hartson, Agathe etc. Only down side was a lack of a quality goalkeeper and that painful day at Fir Pk. But on a whole a legend. Your opinion does not matter to me.:icon_mrgreen:

He has a point though regarding Robertson.
As Juninho said of MON "you wouldn't see him all week, then game day he comes into the dressing room yelling and cursing".

The MON years were great, but as I have said before, due more to Henrik than MON.

But Martin chose Robbo as his assistant to do the leg work, he was more tactics and philosophy. And yes those were truly great years with Henrik, Martin built the team around him and got the best out of Larsson and his team mates as a unit. As MON used to say "punching above our weight.":50:
