As I said official inquiries were 100% made. It might be the case that we don't want him now but Celtic did ask to be kept up to date on what happens with him over the close season and I have sources for this.

How can you close it when there's no official statement saying that we are definitely not interested

Exactly! So can we not get this thread to * before he signs for the forces of Mordor and they claim we wanted him but "he said no to the Provos etc etc."

Even though we are the ones who said no to him... But as we all know he just won't take no for an answer!

Evening Times might have said that, but every other paper just about said the opposite, I have sources at Dundee United who have told me it is true as well.

That's not my point here at all. He probably won't be a Celtic player because there also six other clubs interested. But the thread didn't say he was coming to Celtic it said there was official inquiries made and that is true.

He's no better than Stokes imo, We'd be better off keeping Stokes and getting a new Tall striker

I agree I wouldn't like to see us spend 2million on him and we do definitely need a new target man

I don't want David Goodwillie at Celtic. Gary Hooper and Anthony Stokes are both better than him and we should be looking to bring in a higher class of striker than Goodwillie to compete with those two.

Bring him in! Cracking player, I'm sure the management staff will keep a hold of his ego, nothing to worry about. he actually seems an alright ladd, spoke to him on facebook and that a few times.

Well, he's scored more goals than Stokes this season whilst playing for a far inferior team, so I would say he's a better player

I wouldn't mind him at parkhead to be honest hes a good striker for SPL standard.

The question is.... where can he fit in?

That's one of the worst arguments I've ever heard.

    1) Goodwillie has had far more playing time.
    2) Since when can someone say that a player has scored more than another player and is therefore better.
    3) Stokes has more goals in all competitions.
    4) Stokes has many more assists.
    4) Playing for an inferior team doesn't mean you will score more. Look at Riordan and Killen.
