Come on you Bhoys in Green
It's at home so hopefully get a famous home win, probably pumped away then think about next season.

No I blame us too, and not blaming Liverpool for our end placing as others have said we missed opportunities in other games to do what was necessary.

I don’t like how we treated the game tonight before hand and that probably had a hand in us being 2-0 down within 5 minutes. That and a deflection.

When Idah went off and in fact any of the subs started happening you could sense the game was gone. We badly need some fresh faces in before Monday’s transfer deadline. Not for CL as we are getting put out next round now anyway but for building going forward.

The Celts back into the CL Knockouts. Flying the flag for Scotland once again in European footballs elite competition.

Had an hour to process that madness that was tonight. Delighted we put in a fight, delighted we stuck to it and didn't * our pants and let it become a cricket score like in Dortmund, delighted, absolutely delighted for big Idah!!!

Soo proud of our team throughout the full campaign, and 12 points, is probably what we should have finished on, looking back at all the games. The 2 games we lost, we deserved to lose. We could look back and say, we should've won against Zagreb and Brugge (though I was impressed with Brugge, thought they were excellent and results have shown that, by beating Villa & Sporting). Then again, the point in Atalanta and pumping Leipzig were shocks.

We played 8 matches and lost twice! we were always a shoe in to lose 3 or 4 games (minimum) in the previous CL setup over 6 games never mind 8. All the lads deserve so much credit, as does the coaching staff and Brendan.

We are raking it in, and now have a glamour tie against Real Madrid or Bayern, with two of the best stadiums in world football to look forward to. I don't give a * who we get as we'll be partying regardless, while we increase the, already stratospheric, financial gap in Scotland. Again, playing against the elite of the elite, in world football. Finishing above the likes of Man City/Leipzig/Stuttgart/Sporting/Brugge/Shakhtar, what a * buzz!

I STILL PRAY TO *, WE GO ON ANOTHER RUN, AND BEAT THE BEST IN EUROPE LIKE JOCK STEINS ALREADY DONE................

The lack of ambition for today's game baffles me. We even subbed off Idah and Scales who are established first-team players for a couple of young prospects. Seemed like a pre-season friendly or something. We acted like we couldn't care less about the result.

Would never agree with the bolded part. How often do we play in the knockout phase of the Champions League? We should do our best in order to compete.

Idah and Scales were injured that’s why they came off.

I’m pretty raging too at how we approached that game, resting CCV, and letting Kyogo and Valle go.
losing that game was almost certainly going to leave us with Real or Bayern in the next round, I ran the simulator multiple times and came up with the same scenario almost every time.

We should have always been looking to give ourselves the best possible chance of progressing to the last 16, instead of patting ourselves on the back for getting this far!

Bayern and Real are seeded so they play 2nd leg at home.

We have gave a decent account of ourselves should have beat Zagreb and brugge though we would have finished 9th!

we should have beaten brugge and zagreb , think all the chat about reaching the knockout being our targets seemed to limit ourselves. we had as handy a draw as we could have asked for we should have been in a much healthier position. rodger talking tonight like a game v madrid or munich is some kind of reward annoyed me we should be aim to progress at each stage

But your not being funny... we've just lost playing with a very weakened team and actually doing ok... we've seen progress in the team at this level and instead of realising that your 1st question is to ask whats the record defeat in a 2 legged tie bcoz we'll be playing Madrid or Bayern...praise the team FFS.

    What was it, €275,000 base for 36th, €275,000 x2 for 35th, etc?

16*275000 for Celtic = another €4,400,000 or £3.7mil roughly, probably closer to £4mil because that part of the prize fund is bolstered from the prize money left when teams draw.

I'm praying we get Bayern, I'm not saying we will beat them because they are a very good side.
But Feyenoord beat them 3-0, so you never know over two legs.

In all fairness, that was the fluke of all flukes.

Bayern had 30 shots on goal that game, 80% posession. Feyenoord 3 shots on target and scored 3. I watched that game (full replay) and It was without doubt the most mental scoreline i've seen in a game of football.
