How does the play off round work, would it be a benefit to come 9-16 as opposed to 17-24?

i can see no reason why we cant pick up 9 pts from the next 3 games, thats bound to put us in contention for a top 8 spot going into the last game v villa

Top 8 puts us on another level and most likely acquires automatic space for us and Scotland again
As we have seen more champions league exposure and money sees our club grow

we need another 4 wins in Europe between the 3 clubs left And favourable scores between the 2 ahead of us, doable but I don't trust the hunss

Hopefully see Brugge, Young Boys, Salzburg and Red Star all lose tomorrow, would make qualifying even more likely, as it looks like Bratislava and Strum Graz are already effectively out and Leipzig face Inter and Aston Villa next, so they're effectively out too.

7 teams almost already out, another win next game and were effectively through, even 2 draws would be enough, but there's absolutely no reason we can't get 9 points in our next 3 games.

Top 8 still isn't likely but certainly not impossible. Will be incredible if it's still a possibility going into the last game against villa

I thought we would he higher than 13. after 7 points in 4 games and half the teams still to play.

But what a chance we have. It’s been quite a brilliant start. I don’t think anyone would have been that shocked to see us sit on 3 points at this stage. Next game will be an absolute buzz.

In Euros we are currently looking at being beyond that before tickets sales of around £12m.

I am sure our CL money guaranteed (before ticket sales) is now at around €37m (that’s considering us having. A fairly low ranking in the table 1-36.

    1. If we make the play off round in position 17-24 we would get an additional €1m and be guaranteed €3.3m from coming 24th and €275k better for each place higher, €5.5m for 17th. We would also get another £2.75-3m from selling out the home game of the play off.

    2. If we come 9-16 we get €2m instead of €1m. Position in league will be between €5.775m - €7.7m and again the match day as above.

    3. If we got 8th then we get €2m bonus, but guarantee another €11m for reaching last 16. League position 8th €7.975m. Again match day is worth £2.75m - £3m.

In scenarios 1 and 2 above we could obviously make more if we won our playoff game. Then the reaching the last 16 bonus would come into play there as well.

We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. If we play like that, we should have too much for Brugge and Young Boys; but these teams are no mugs. They are certainly better than Bratislava, Aberdeen or the Huns. If we don't play at our best, they can beat us.

Let's face it, beating RB Leipzig and then losing to Brugge or Young Boys would be the most Celtic thing ever.

But there's no getting round it: if we can keep everybody fit and can reproduce that kind of performance, we should be favourites.

Lot of people think they are guaranteed victories but these teams are closer to us in qualify than we are to the top and second tier clubs imo.

Obviously if we play like we did tonight then there is no reason we can’t get at least another 6 points. That level of consistency is hard to hit especially away from home.

If we get 7 points from the last 4 games that is a tremendous effort, any more than that would be unreal.
