    To be fair the 40th anniversary top came out for the 2007/08 season.

    Guess if it came out this summer they'd be makring the 50th anniversary the year before it happened.

    Heard a few people say that, but we won the big cup in the season 1966/67. So 25th May 2017 will come round and we'll be wearing this.

    If, biggest if ever, we get to the cup final next season, I expect a Lisbon shirt on that day at least.

    The 66/67 season should be commemorated as a whole, not just 25th may 67. Because we didn't necessarily win the big cup on 25th may. There were a load of games previous to that which had to be won in the EC and obviously we managed to win 5 cups in that season as a whole!

    Aye don't think it really matters but I think they will bring the top out for it next year, that way they can do it in the week there will be celebrations etc going on. Rather than sneak it out this year then actually mark the 50th next year.

    Surprised it is popular with so many here. I think it is 1-2 steps backward. Looks cheap Puma like and the collar has pub team all over it. Dissapointed we have no booze sponsor anymore. I give it a defo miss this time.

    I thought the 2016/17 season would have had an anniversary top for the 50 years since winning the big cup

    Betting company - they're actually signing a record sponsorship deal with us -we'll be there biggest team.

    Previous record sponsor was £3m/year from Carling so if it's more than that we've done well.

    I sure I heard we're changing to a one kit a season run now under New Balance. Pretty much every team in the English Premier League seem to be doing it these days and whilst I think it's a lot of *, if its the done thing we may as well follow suit.
