To be fair, Maloney and Forrest were injured, we hadn't signed Commons yet nevermind being able to predict the impact he'd have on the team from day one. Ljungberg looked a decent signing at the time.

 

He only cost us his wages, I don't believe there was any fee and at the time I think it would have been counter productive to the team and fans morale to have avoided signing him. I agree he has been a waste of money but you can't win them all. I bet if we hadn't signed him at the time some on here would have criticized that as a lack of ambition.

 

silly stuff.....kayal,izzy would start for alot of prem team potentially commons/ledley/hooper wouldnt be off alot of squads,considering the lack of funding im delighted with what lennon has bought and maybe the board will see this and let him spend that little bit more

 

You do know the board don't sign players?

 

don't agree with this at all, why pay him a reported 16k-20k a week when we have the likes of lennon alan thompson and big mjallby for that experience

hate hearing this * about experience over and over for guys who are 33 plus we can get in a player who is 25 plus and he has enough experience

freddy is a waste of a wage and we could have got in a CB which we needed more than anything but we got that waste of space

 

Celtic are now heading in the right direction in my opinion under Neil Lennon and his backroom Bhoys how can the poster say otherwise ? Some of the football played last season was quite exceptional.Spend millions on household names he says ,why risk putting the club into the same state as the huns found themselves in and for what We came within a baw hair of the domestic treble next season i fully expect the spl and at least 1 cup ,europe i,d expect a decent run in the europa possibly last 8 maybe better so get behind the Bhoys and stop with the negativity :bbpd:

 

If you compare this season with the last couple of seasons then I think it's pretty clear what direction we are heading.

We are moving in the right direction, we have the same defects as most of the other top teams have( everone needs cbs and another striker and goalkeeper) our midfield is solid could it be better? of course it could , but i would go to war with them!
