Remember when we were all told that Scottish football was doomed without them? Tell that to Aberdeen and/or Dundee Utd/St. JOHNSTONE, who will finish the seasons off with a domestic cup trophy, and a spot in European qualificationfootball..............grim stuff eh?

As Dev pointed out above, almost half the teams in the league imo have upped their standards (not quite so dramatically as to challenge us for the title, but certainly on a game-to-game basis........see Aberdeen's back-to-back victories over us as an example) to beating each other on a more consistent basis.

The league is actually prospering as it is (we have more money coming into the league, and wo
ill have extra tv revenue as of next season). Like it or not, their participation in the lower leagues has been excellent for the lower leagues thati bet no one took much/any interest in until now, and im sure teams like Forfar n that will be enjoying pulling the cash in from the mindless zombies going to their grounds. Raith Rovers certainly enjoyed their cup winning match against them........

No one can be so obtuse as to deny they miss skelping the huns either home and away, and cannot deny they need a serious competitor in the league to add a bit more excitement, but I think its incredibly demeaninb for some corners to say our titles are devalued, or "already wrapped up". We still need to perform successfully towin against these teams in our league, so our standards are generallh set to a high level in terms of performances. We need a serious competitor, but I 100% certainly do NOT miss Rangers one iota. Thier despicable club has cheated, bullied and bastardized Scottish football over the generations - both what they have done on the park, and with I ternal AND external influence within Scottish fitba..........yes, I think you know what I mean.....all the seedy, secret handshake gang n other unsavoury characters......

    To summarize, naw....ah don't * miss them.....AWRIGHT!!!

Yes and there are far more home-grown now instead of foreign imports. Things are looking up. That mob caused the downfall of Scottish Football at the end of the 80s and without them, we're improving as a country.

I miss the competition and the fact that it made results so important that your heart would be pumping like a budgie on speed come the last 10 mins of a lot of matches when losing, or scoring, a goal took on global importance.

But I don't miss that supremacist bunch of arseholes one single bit. They deserve every single thing that has come their way the last couple of years and a whole lot more.

I'm not wholly confident it will happen, but I'd love them "back" if we could hand them out a couple of absolutely humiliating doings. The more the better.

That would hurt more than anything else that has happened to them.

I don't miss their club or their fans, but I do miss the occasion and the build up to those games.

I miss the feeling of being buzzing for the days before and after playing them (if we won), but I don't miss all the times spent watching Sky Sports News when they'd go 1-0 down at home and equalised with a penalty, or the aftermath of Old Firm games we lost when blatant decisions went against us (Mowbray's three Old Firm games probably rank as the worst in that regard). All in all I'm probably a much calmer person without them.

I miss the excitement of a competitive league but I think the world is that little bit more positive without them.

Would have loved for us to have got them in the Scottish cup final this year just so we could have took 7 off them and rub it right into the * on our own pitch. Especially after all the talk of them winning it quite easily after we got put out

Not missed the games at all in general though. Think the other clubs have also not missed them much either, they obsess over the league going to the dogs post-liquidation, we're all still waiting on it.

Time to move on, they died.

We have had other big matches in the past and will do in the future.

The original Glasgow Derby was Queen's Park v Celtic, the native establishment team v the Irish team. Queens refussed to enter the new professional era and the original Glasgow Derby died as did the "Good Guys v The Bad Guys" Derby between Celtc & Rangurs (1872) FC Now Defunct...

They wouldn't be challenging us for the title if they were in the league anyway, most likely they would be competing with the likes of Inverness and St Johnstone for a top 6 place

I do not miss them one jot and really hope the tribute act goes the same way as the huns did and dies. As far as I am concered playing big time champions league games takes the place of the old derby games. While league wise I think this season in particular we have really seen a genuine growth in the quality of 2 of the other spfl clubs who have potential Aberdeen and Dundee United. Hibernian still have their own mess to sort out but have potential as of course do the diet huns if they can every sort out their financial mess first.

I definitely miss the competition, but it'll be about 5 years until that's back.

i think they will make their debut in the top flight in season 15/16 , anyway it would be nice to give them huns a good hiding Easter time to commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the 1916 rising:56:

Do miss a bit of competition in the league, but no don't want what their fans bring anywhere near Celtic Park. Actually think this incarnation of them will be worse, the hatred and bile would be cranked up. Haven't missed that one bit, added to this the authorities and medias treatment of them has made them even more unpalatable. Rules have been bent in their favour, reporting has been skewed with a bigger agenda than ever. Don't know what the answer is to give us a more competitive domestic season but don't want it to be Sevco.

I miss the competition. Wouldn't miss them particularly if another club was challenging us.

They games were brilliant but naw do I * miss them. I don't think one single Celtic fan would've been missing them last season when we reached the last 16 of the Champions League.

Got to agree with this. The media seem to think competion and sevco are one in the same. I dont give a * who it is that put up the biggest challenge, as long as we beat them over the season.

I don't miss them as such. I miss beating them, yeah. I do miss the challenge but I don't want a return the status quo.

I don't miss the club. I don't miss the fans and I certainly I don't miss the matches against them. Why not , well since I started watching and supporting Celtic I immediately noticed that the referees and linesmen ( assistants ) tended to support the Huns. In more recent times we have found out that since the year 2000 or earlier Rangers have cheated the whole of Scottish football by illegal payments to scores of players . Instead of the Scottish Football authorities trying to ensure that Rangers were properly punished they bent over backwards to minimise their punishment . Now some people look forward to face that lot with referees like Madden , Murray, Thompson cheating worse than ever .

The only thing I really miss is having a proper title race. Winning the league before the season even starts just isn't enjoyable for me. Being completely honest, I was bored last season and it's been even more boring this season. If Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Hearts or Hibs(or anyone else except Sevco) could step up to the plate and provide us with a proper challenge in the league then I would be delighted and would start to enjoy my football again. If all of them could step up then that would be utopia.

I do not miss Rangers. The one great thing about the past two seasons has been not having to listen to their shameless bigotry anymore. While Sevco are in the lower leagues they get less media exposure so it's easier to just ignore them. I'm fine with that. Out of sight out of mind. I'd be quite happy if they never resurfaced and, I don't give a toss what the likes of Hugh Keevins say, I really do mean it.
