You still not got anything to back up those facts you mentioned earlier??

Oh and NI fans not wanting the Maze would be similar to Scotland fans not wanting their national stadium to be in a field outside Kilmarnock. Once again if you looked into the "facts" you would see that. Believe it or not Kevtun not everyone gives a * about politics or whatever the * happened in 1981. Some of us just want a football stadium in our capital city. Logistics an all that, nothing else! Is it our fault we have a terrible stadium (governments helped Hampden, Wembley, Millenium and Landsdowne). Is it our fault we are crap as you so eloquently put it? We can't exactly expand the area from which we chose our players. It stands to reason smaller countries will tend to be not quite as good as the bigger ones. For us to be crap though it doesn't say alot about the other home nations/ROI who didn't do any better than us!

Well hold on a minute there so is Scotlands national stadium in its capital city? I think not.

Look if you wanna go watch football in a stadium where the roof is falling off and the bigotted blues in Belfast play then be my guest. But I suppose thats a minority too. LOL

All I say is that I would not go to Ibrox for aything other than an old firm.

hahahaha, you actually think hed get more games at celtic than rangers?
mcdonald and jan the same partnership that had about 50 goals this season, a last 16 team in the champions league, and you think hed get a game here, when at rangers hes competing for the spot with other pieces of * such as darchville and kenny miller haha your having a laugh, and also you better enjoy the "NI" point of view for now because they wont ever be within a sniff of qualifying ever again!

The thing is Glasgow may not be Scotlands capital but there is no reason why it couldn't be. It has the infrastructure, it has the transport links, it has the bars/restaurants/hotels. It is not exactly comparable with the village of the Maze now is it? There isn't even a hotel in Lisburn never mind at the Maze!!! Where do away fans go? Having been to Landsdowne, Hampden and Millenium I can tell you now there is nothing better than spending the day in the town having a few drinks then making the journey to the stadium within the city boundaries. The Maze is 20 miles away from any amenities.

Of course I want a better stadium but what do you want us to do? The Maze has now been shown for what it is, a complete shambles, the minister of it lost his job over it!!! We don't exactly have a choice at the moment where to play, maybe you could recommend somewhere else UEFA would allow? Therefore its Windsor or nothing at the moment. Your views on "the bigotted blues" are something obviously you'll know alot about being a regular to all things Irish League. Scotland matches have been played at Ibrox before you know!!!

Anyway it appears you don't have the facts to back up the claim that it was a majority of NI fans hurling abuse. So I leave you alone know safe in the knowledge that I can prove you are lying. It appears you have no facts to back up your claim that NI fans refused the Maze on political grounds. I can give you a 137 page document that proves otherwise.

Days fly by when your having fun, I didn't realise it was school finishing time already!!

Anyway chaps that is me done here now. Good luck for the season and 4 in a row.

As I say roll on my trip to Glasgow in August and here's hoping neither of the scum that attach themselves to the either of the Old Firm get involved with it (doubtful mind you) and Scotland and Northern Ireland can enjoy the day and the match. Feel free to come along to the TA v NI fans match if you's are about the town that day!

Oh and Kev if you ever do come across those facts feel free to drop me a message, no point clogging up this thread even more with unrelated information.

Don't forget now Kev..... We're not Brazil We're Northern Ireland but its all the same to me!! :bbpd:

Would never have dean shields anywhere near me. He played for my local team where a lot of players from northern ireland come from and believe me this guy is a total hun.

As for derek Riordan. There is a reason that he does not play for us. Its cause he is pish poor and as for a hard wee * maybe settle for stupid wee *. If we dont sign a striker this summer I believe the forward line will be as above with hutchinson as back up. From what I have seen of him he will be a far better bet than spending 3 mil on laugh-erty.

Lets just wait and see I have every confidence in WGS and the board to recruit the right people for celtic football club as they have done for years

a didnt say lafferty was a good player but i take it u watch burnley every week to pass a comment like that? and as for riordan being a waster hes proved himself at hibs and week in week out at home games last season celtic fans wanted him on and phone-ins buzzing with celtic fans wanting to give him his chance so u stand in the corner ur self anyway look on the bright side sky sports has jst said Skysports.com understands that Burnley have failed to agree terms with Rangers midfielder Alan Gow. so maybee the huns will have to caugh up even more cash and hopefully ur right and he is *

Got to be honest here, I went to the last Scotland-Ireland friendly at Landesdown Road with an Irish mate years ago and although I was supporting Scotland (keeping my head down) I was in the Ireland end. The level of childish sectarianism was shocking. Club football was dragged into it (a big no-no in my book) and all the Rangers players in the Scotland team were subject to loads of orange B type abuse including Neil McCann who is a tim really. Otherwise decent songs were punctuated by Sinn Fhein IRA and up the ra etc, * the queen etc. This was in total contrast to the Scotland fans who have for the last quarter of a century had a code of not bringing club football or sectarian politics into thinds and stuck to Scotland songs and daft comedy dittys like doe a deer, were * and we know we are and we hate the English more than you. Although Ireland would still be my 2nd international team, that opened my eyes a bit. Innapropriate politics, sectarianism and even club rivallry were rife. Clearly Northern Ireland support has a bad element but there is defo one in the Republic support too. I was a close up eye witness.

Some of the worst sectarian behaviour I have witnessed at a football match, was from so called Scotland fans at Hampden, in Kenny Dalglish's 50th cap game against Romania (I'm sure).

Most of the abuse was directed towards Graeme Souness and his wife, who happened to be a Catholic.

It was the last time I went to a Scotland game.

I was a close up eye witness.

Burnley manager Owen Coyle told his club's website: "We've received a very good offer from Rangers, a deal worth close to £4m when you include Gow."

Just had to laugh at this, close to 4 mil *
he is terrible, so happy we aint gettin him
