Very .. very interesting that there is no official word of condemnation or otherwise from the club as yet, and Neil has refused to comment, they are obviously giving it some thought, or they would have came out and condemned the fans involved already.

If ever there was a time for Lawwell and the board to back our fans then this is it.

A 'computer-game style' banner of a zombie (not a * 'human being' Hugh Keevins, ya complete and utter *!), clearly done as a wind-up, being used by the zombie huns and the usual sevconian-sympathising hacks as a pathetic and shameful attempt to slur our club.

I mean, you would think the huns had been humped out of some diddy tournament this week and people were trying to create a diversion story ..

    Over to you Peter...

I think if the club do come out and comment, it would be a no comment type of...well comment.

Something along the lines of wanting hearing the complainers thoughts before commenting further type of thing.

That way it jeopardises * all.

Such a stupid PC world we live in these days, * are offended by anything, but we, as a club cannot say that anyone is not offended.

Semantics, and funny as * this is all they are trying to get us with to address the balance.

    HAHAHA

Would this logic not make films such as 28 weeks later and Zombieland massively controversial

    I'm not picky.
I never realised that zombies were easily offended :icon_mrgreen:

The arseholes who are complaining about this banner will be saying that, in some way, it is glorifying the IRA, and it this seems to be the case judging that idiotic comment by Tom English.

ANYONE who is "offended" by this banner, and not seeing it for what it is, really needs to do the world a favour and * off.

    I read in the Phone-In thread -

Jabba Traynor on the zombie banner - "....is ridiculously offensive"

Jabba Traynor on the famine song - "....just banter"

So it's ok to sing sectarian songs depicting prejudicial hatred because that is just "banter" yet a banner showing a gunman shooting a ZOMBIE is "offensive" Seems like he, as well as the * that complained about this banner, has his priorities * about face.

Hopefully this case is seen as a huge waste of everyone's time and just gets chucked out on it's *.

I thought that banner was funny as *.

Pretty ridiculous this. But I can't say I'm really all of that surprised either.

All this talk of "an IRA gunman" on the banner is ridiculous and the board should tell the compliance officer this.

Anyone with an ounce of sense will see that the gunman is using a M16 assault rifle, synonymous with the US military and as we know the 'RA prefered the Armalite. :icon_mrgreen:

So clearly it is a US soldier as they are at the forefront of the world wide fight against terrorism and Zombies.

    Case closed your Honour!

i found the banner tasteless. how many iraqis and afghanis have been killed by such gun wielding maniacs. i am opposed to the iraq and afghan war and really dont want to see a soldier depicted on a celtic banner. shocking is the only word for it.

Not sure whether you are fishing or not but I'll bite,

Have you a link to where you objected in July when the banner was displayed at the game or are you just jumping on the MSM bandwagon of extreme outrage at a piece of artistic banter?

Away and geez * peace

It's an artistic METAPHOR that Rangers FC should have been put to death once and for all, for all of there cheating.

The fact that this is being brought in front of a disciplinary board is SCANDALOUS.

The fact that ARSEHOLES are accusing this as some IRA sectarian murder banner is appalling, but not surprising.

And the fact that some MORONS are jumping on this bandwagon is just embarrassing.

    Really?

Because of the gunman which you are linking to brit troops in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Did you know the Green Brigade displayed their banner upside down the whole time John Reid was chairman in protest of his time as Defence Secretary, had a banner against poppys on the Hoops and are known to be against British troops in the above mentioned companys not to mention Ireland?

Really is a strange world we live in now, a whole load of people are hyper sensitive and get offended at the smallest, most insignificant things. If all we had to worry about was a generic silhouette of a gunman shouting a fictional character then what a wonderful world we would live in.

Even Republican-minded supporters of Celtic would never come out with such a stupid statement like that emboldened.

And, exactly what has that to do with the topic of the conversation? :97:
