Anyone who is claiming to be embarrassed is only embarrassed for their own sense of pride.

Don't be embarrassed for the club. We were a bit below par, but it was NO embarrassment.

PSG are genuine CL contenders. £700 million pound squad FFS - let that sink in! They could turn ANY club 0-5 on their day.

Deal with your 'embarrassment' yourself... don't foist your 'embarrassment' on the club or the rest of us by stating it on a team forum!

 

Better than not spending it lol, where does it go? Id have expected a significant investment this season to strengthen, anyway they would still beat us but at least maybe not as bad. On the other hand it's hard to accept we are just making up the numbers for the money and have no real invested ambition to give a good account of ourselves in the CL. But what can you do? We were pumped tonight by a team who are a million miles ahead of us in terms of class and finances.

We are not the first team to be pumped by them, and we certainly won't be the last...

I'm not even angry at the result. They're not a step up in class, they're about 10 steps up in class. Money has completely ruined football and it's showing year by year that the gap is getting bigger and bigger and soon getting pumped off these big teams will be the norm. I mean look at Bayern vs arsenal over 2 legs.

I also think a lot of us have been deluded into believing that winning a treble and going unbeaten means we are champions league quality but we never will be unless some rich * buys us and spends big money.

Ralston done really * well imo. I said he was * prior to tonight. Hes not. He is a right sided tierney give it a year. The goal was because listig bombed on leaving that gap for the pass.

 

In a word: don't. Kids are pretty bright. Explain to him why you can't buy it and, yeah, he'll be disappointed for a bit, but at least he'll grow up to be a decent human being and not a spoiled * who thinks he's worth €200M!

The gap is only going to get bigger between us and these clubs unless money gets capped, were fast becoming a team where players like to come because it's a nice atmosphere and an easy win

 

Something lacking any class or maturity, he is a great football player but that's probably his only quality.

 

Let's face the reality here, PSG are a much better team. Rodgers took a big risk in putting Ralston on , but it clearly didn't work. Serious defending issues need sorted. Much tighter regulation is needed against these big clubs!!!!

If you were embarrassed by that you should look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself why the * you support Celtic. I've never once in my life been embarrassed by my team. I'm embarrassed we have fans like you. Thankfully they are a minority

 

This reminded me alot of Monchengladbach last season. All you needed to watch was the first five minutes and you can tell that somethings just not quite right.

I think the occasion got to the players a bit. Don't wanna fault Rodgers much, I don't think anything he could've done would've helped.

PSG didn't allow us to press, they always had an answer. They knew exactly where they wanted to put the ball and they didn't step out of second gear doing it. Masterclass, they deserve a ton of credit. On to the next one, can't get so disheartened after one game.

 

Horsed and whilst we could have played better it's all good. Was disappointed Ralston played but apart from the first goal I thought he did very well. Midfield were the weak link tonight for me. Onwards and upwards Bhoys.
