And you made a right * of that too. I have loads of sympathy for any individual who makes a mistake, within reason, including running on the pitch in a moment of passion. I wouldn't be proud of them though, nor does he deserve support. He deserves a kick up the * and, judging by your comments on here, so do you. The Danny * Dyer of the internet.

Mate, I'm not being a * here, what would you have done differently last night? What could we have possibly done to stop their midfield running over us?

Rodgers couldn't win, if we didn't play Roberts there would be question marks, if Bitton had partnered Jozo at the back there would have been people moaning it was daft, if we had set up ultra defensively, isolating LG up top people would have said we should have had a go at them. People saying give Ralston a go, suddenly now it was a bad move etc.

I honestly don't think it mattered what team or tactics we played last night - We're still getting hammered. PSG were just too good with their passing and little triangles. We certainly gifted them that third mind, absolutely stupid decision by Jozo.

    * * better win the whole thing to make me feel a bit better.

    I agree with @Notorious

The witchunt against this wee guy and the calls for life bans and advocating violence towards him is way over the top.

Sometimes passion can get the better of you. Mix that with youthful naivety and a load of bevvy no doubt, and you have the recipe for doing something really stupid.

He's a * dafty make no mistake about it but we seem to have some amount of angels in our support these days, going by the reaction to this.

He deserves a punishment, couple years ban or something. That's it.

If sinclair & roberts and even ralston can penetrate their defence to get into their box, then bayern munich will see them off and any other team in the last 16 can.

At there level they were not world class defensivly as they were attacking

Umm... don't you think that with PSG's forward line that they will penetrate the oppositions box too? :43:

There is no logic to what you said.

We penetrated Barcelona's defence in 2012, actually scoring, twice! They went on to the SF's.

If we spent 100m would we have cometed with psg? Considering 1 good player these days costs that. Nothing. Thats the problem we are stuck in.

Reflecting on the game last nite...

    Firstly, PSG were stunningly good.
The passing, pace, movement and composure was as good as I ever saw from Barcelona at their peak.
They ALWAYS had at least 2 options for the pass - even their own penalty area!
The game intelligence and movement was (grudgingly) good to watch.
Closing down and fitness levels also superb and better than us, right into last minute even at 5-0 up.
This PSG team are the real deal.

    For us...
We were really, really nervous and lacking in confidence in first half, not using the ball well at all, running about like headless chickens at time, very tentative with tackles - it was as poor as PSG were good.
Only Paddy, Ntcham and Tierney showed the composure and confidence needed.
Griff and Armstrong especially seemed petrified.

One reason we didn't /couldn't use the ball well was that when a Celtic player had possession, they rarely had a good option, never mind 2.
The lack of movement was the worst aspect of the night imo, I saw Paddy in particular have possession for 10 seconds at a time and not have a Celtic player move within 20 yards of him.

2nd half was better, we were more aggressive, direct and put them under pressure. Rogic made a difference.
However the lack of movement again was still criminal.
A pass should ALWAYS be available.

Overall, I think /hope Brendan will have learned a lot and where our weaknesses lie.

Disagree @Sean Daleer, no doubting the guy was boozed up and let his emotions run away with him. However that is absolutely no excuse. Seriously it was totally unacceptable. I don't care if he is wearing a Celtic top, Man Utd top, Barcelona top or whatever when you enter the pitch and take a swipe at an opposing player(who was * 18 years old btw) then not only do you deserve a lifetime ban but you should be up in court also. Or maybe I am just a wee snowflake.

Something I noticed about PSG last night was their positions on the field when they didn't have the ball. They managed to really cut off our angles meaning passes were more difficult to execute and had to be much more accurate as well. They would eventually close you down in packs but they came at you in such a way that finding a teammate was really difficult.

Monaco want 90 million plus JUST for Mbappe when they sell him to PSG at the end of his loan period,
and he is not PSGs star player.

We wont go much further but I hope FIFA kick PSG and their Qatari owners out of the CL for financial doping. They and the Emirs etc are destroying the game while they launder their very dodgy dosh..

The sooner I forget last night mate, the better.

Like every other Hoops fan about 26 hrs ago I was daring to dream.

The next game against Anderlecht couldn't have came at a better time though IMO, couple of days after the old firm match, the lads should be well pumped up.

Get a point over there, and we're looking at a Europa spot.

    Bring it on :ynwacelti

No doubt he will get hit with a breach charge and that is the consequence of his actions.

Lifetime ban though? Come on. People advcocating violence towards him as well, how in the name of christ does that square up a wee * running on the park?

Agree 100%. We went direct to the player, they closed the space / angle to the next player.
But I think we were static when we had the ball though and made the job much easier than it should have been.

First half we stood off them, looked timid and allowed them to play.

Granted the draw hasn't been kind to us (again), but i'd hate to see us become the whipping boys of the CL, maybe in future Brendan should think more about damage limitation for games of this nature ?

We might even only need 3. In fact we might only need 2.

Overcommitting, as I said. Naive play.

If, after a 0-5 defeat, you don't see the glaring deficiencies in our game, then there's nothing I can say.

We did not gift them the third, we gifted them every single goal. PSG didn't have to work, and there lies the problem.

We did make it easier for them. Our heads dropped when the first goal went in.

They can't have that many points before we play them again mate ( unless they buy them)
