Well, I already thought she's mad when she made up this senseless 5 mile rule during the first lookdown, as if there wouldn't have been enough space in the highlands for people going on a walk with 3m distance

 

What a shambles 500 at outdoor events but the pubs and indoor events can stay open. 500 at 60k Celtic park but the same number at other stadiums that barely hold 5k !!! Huns had more in George Square ffs and nothing done !!!! Get a jab they said, get your second jab they said and everythng will be rosy. Get a booster they said and save Xmas !!! I realise you find it difficult not to defend her and her government in things covid .. but there are serious double standards here.

Effectively Closing down outdoor spectator sport which has already been heavily hit and confirmed to passport implementation … while allowing all other hospitality (indoors) to continue without hindrance…

It’s a real slap in the face and actually quite insulting to football. Clearly they are not closing football down so don’t have to give any financial support despite this costing clubs severely. “You’re on your own football.” Yet other hospitality will be getting support while remaining open anyway.

They’ve looked around at things involving large numbers of people and dished out restrictions on the ones that won’t cost them any money…

…. but keep shopping, meet your extended family, enjoy the pub and restaurants, keep schools going etc etc..

I’d actually argue that any serious damage re. infection rates will be due to the next few days and Christmas mixing.. not from Boxing Day onwards and outdoor sporting events…

It’s not about hospital numbers ffs
We all agree this strain is more virulent
If thousands more get it then yes they’ll probably only feel like they have a cold but
If you have it then you need to isolate
So the more that have it the more that need to isolate….that means even less people who provide social or hospital care cannot go to work. Same as shops, pubs etc.
But let’s do what some on here are saying and * it just do as you please. So when 100000’s are isolating because we couldn’t stop the spread you are guaranteed many will be nurses doctors paramedics. So if your loved one takes seriously ill and you phone an ambulance but they say sorry canny get one for 8 hours as the majority need to isolate will you still be happy to * it
