Think I would rather get the games played and have the natural break in January..

Remembering the special rules that were brought in for us after the Dubai farce..

However, with the amount of players we have out at the moment, a pause now could definitely work to our advantage.

Amazing how Covid never seems to affect them but it has done every other team in the league....hmmm

    * would need to get real bad, real * quick for the league to shut down again.

Closed stadiums will be the first thing to happen before games get postponed or the league on a break.
They know that can work and has done previously. Everyone will just go in to their bubbles again.

I guess the most "natural" way to go about it, would be hoping that we get to the winter break relatively unscathed and the league takes the 2 weeks off to allow any clubs that are suffering to sort their players out, isolate for 10 days, get in your bubbles, everyone then starts fresh again and games played with no fans.

i think they are looking at knocking the ACON in the head due to the new variant, i can also see fans being removed from stadiums - i think there is an announcement from n sturgeon today about more restrictions, the way this new variant is gathering speed in another 2 weeks the season could be halted for a month or so? it is all bonkers look at the premiership games this week in EPL with many getting called off, wont be long until SPL experiences similar scenarios

Epl considering festive shutdown, talks to be held on Monday. We’ll likely follow suit. This * is so depressing, feels like March 2020 all over again.

She won’t be closing football down unless she also closes hospitality and that ain’t happening unless the treasury reintroduce furlough and financial aid for those businesses

Mibbe reduced capacity and all those that attended the early season games through the ballot won’t be getting in on the 2nd january

St Mirren suspending training due to numerous positive tests….would imagine they’ll be that postponed on Wednesday

The problem you have is the players are out socialising and living their lives so they will 100% be constantly catching it.

Best thing IMO is to get whatever games can be played done then shut down football while we ride out this storm.

I’d rather a longer break than any behind closed door games tbh.

Would rather football was stopped for a few weeks as closed stadiums is not fair on fans and we seen what happened last year the difference between us and the Huns without fans. That’s 2 premiership teams now with cases now.

I'd rather an early winter break than games with no fans.

Look how threadbare we are as it stands. There's no way we won't have some positive cases soon.

Could leave us with playing some of the u18s.

Get Sunday over, hopefully a trophy. Get a wee break, get the players and fans their booster, get some new signings in, get Kyogo and Jota back fit and kick on for the second half of the season.

Why wouldn't it be? They made us play with a 3rd string for 2 games in January.

    Precedent has been set.

Apparently clubs and Governing bodies met with the Joint Response Group yesterday and they believe that fixtures can be fulfilled up til the winter break.

If it's a complete suspension of the League it wouldn't be the worst thing given our injuries.

As long as they don't bring back the 'Pass to Paradise' :90:
