I for one am a happy bunny, then again I always thought we should have signed Robson as well 2 seasons before we did.

If you can't see what he brings, especially after last night, then you're simply basing a prior judgement on the club he has came from. Never a good idea.

I watched him when he scored a couple of goals for man city a few years back, he was nothing special, infact very ordinary.

Man city realised he wouldnt make at the top and so did cardiff, now its our turn. I wouldnt mind getting gomis from dundee utd, but willo, all i can see is him rotting in the reserves.

You cant judge the man before he pulls on a celtic top, who would have thought McDonald would have such an effect, we all thought Donati was going to be a great signing, Gravesen too!

for such a low fee, a player who puts in 100% effort, already spl conditioned and a true Celtic fan, you cant be * with this decision!

    Give him a chance ffs!

Financially no, but in terms of actually playing him and using him its up there with pat mccourt (who i think is much better). Why doesnt he just save himself all the wages from these reserve players and buy a decent one and not a winger.

You do realise you've just said you wouldn't take Willo Flood because he never made it when he was a youngster at Man City but you'd take a player that couldn't make it at Dagenham and Redbridge or Barnet? :87:

I'd say more than 3/4 of this board said the exact same thing about Robson and look what happened to him, he's a vital component of this Celtic side. Flood will do well here.

Cracking we player but a wasnt happy with his statements in this mornings papers, but has impressed me everytime a see him!!! 60 grand we can have no complaints, there,s a lot of hartley fans out there, am 1, with this young guy i feel we will be getting a great deal and a great we player, that has bags of energy, and can maybe fullfill the midfield spot beside brown!!!!

Think we need to give the boy a chance before we judge him. Personally I thought he had a cracking game last night and for £60k I think it's a good bit of business.

My frustration is the fact that we have not signed a genuine stick on first eleven player since Scott Brown a year and a half ago, it's all squad players we sign and not guys who will improve our starting line up!

There was a player called henrik larsson in the feyenord reserves when celtic signed him a few years back, he didnt play to his potential and was played out of possition were he scored a few goals and didnt look nothing special, anno willo plays in a different possition but you cant really tell if he,s going to be good or bad pal, he,s not wore a celtic strip yet!!!!

a will agree with you on gomiz he looked decent last nyt:50:

Nah mate i said i watched him at the clubs he never made it at, i'm not judging him on how he failed at other clubs, i'm judging him on how he is doing now, and to me its just average. Its funny you mention robson, i was against signing him and i'm even more against having him to this day. The lad has a big heart and a tough tackle but thats it, their is no creativity to his play, his ball control is uncomfortable to watch, that is why gs has seen sense and put crosas in and hartely is simular, as much i love their heart and determination they are just to negative. imo

I won't get into it as it takes the thread miles off topic but if you can't see that Robson was a vital component of 3 in a row there's something far, far wrong.

His delivery is also superb and he's a cracking headerer of a ball as well; Barcelona and Aalborg.

Robson is a fantastic player, but not out on the left imo, he,s brilliant in the middle and imo if we didnt sign him we wouldnt have won the title, a remember he started about 8 games in a row or so and had that bite in midfield were he chased everything and his tackling was immense, specially against the hunns, not the fastest or most skillful but very effective with his set pieces :50:

He's a talented young player and if we get him on the cheap we can't really go wrong. Remember that Hartley and Robson are getting on in years and their fitness shows signs of decline.

I think its worthwhile. we aint spending a fortune on him and by the looks of things, donati is going to be offski by summer at the latest, so for me, I would play Flood before Donati. And as for his comments, its good a player is showing a bit of passion, hes stated it would be a dream move and is just wanting his future sorted. Dont think he will be a first team regular, but a decent option. I wasnt happy about buying Robson, but have been proved wrong. Give the guy a chance. Would still like to see a solid LB joining us and hopefully Ched Evans
