Willo flood not for me thanks very much. Too lightweight, not that composed on the ball, another squad player who wouldn't make an impact in the first team, for the money i'd have Paul green from derby instead, could see him playing in the Epl at some point.

Read what WGS said about the state of football transfers. The EPL will not survive as it is for 5 more years. Wigan's average wage bill is 27k or their entire squad! That's more than double ours and they struggle to fill a 20k stadium.

The board aren't there to make Celtic rubbish or boring, they're there to make sure we will always have a Celtic primarily for now going after Scottish trophies. Once the EPL implodes then suddenly Celtic will be in a position to compete with just about anyone.

You talk about falling attendances, yes the recession plays a part, but the football we play at the moment is better than anything we've had since Burns was in charge. I think another major factor is the near total domestic dominance we have enjoyed for almost a decade, having only lost a couple of leagues on the last day. Ten years ago the only thing that was important was winning the league, now fans are unhappy with the way we win the league.

In ten years time, if we go out and * 20m on transfers just now we could well be in a worse state than the huns are in now and dreaming about winning a league. Listen to what WGS and Lawwel are saying about the club's finances. The reason we are in recession in the first place is because banks thought it a good idea to lend out lots of money to people that couldn't afford it. What is th epoint of us doing th esame?

    Flood having a medical

Breaking News: Willo Flood having a Medical with Celtic

[IMG]Dundee United on-loan midfielder Willo Flood is tonight having a medical at Ross Hall Hospital with Celtic Football Club. Club Doctor Derek McCormack has accompanied the 23 year old Cardiff City player as Celtic look certain to sign the combative midfielder. Celtic were given permission to talk to the player after agreeing a fee with Cardiff City and the 23 year old has been in discussions with Celtic officials today prior to going to Ross Hall for a medical. If everything goes to plan Flood could be in the Celtic squad that travels to Inverness on Sunday.
Only last night, Flood faced up to his potential new employers scoring one penalty and missing the all important last United one in the incredible penalty shoot out that Celtic won 11-10 in the League Cup Semi Final at Hampden Park.
Flood will face a tough battle to break into the side as a regular but the lifelong Celtic supporter has stated in the past that joining Celtic would be a dream for him and a once in a lifetime chance. Dundee United and Craig Levein will be sad to see one of their top players leave although they have been resigned to the fact that Flood would be leaving ever since Celtic were first rumoured to be interested in him

Not exactly the player we need though how many midfield players do we need.

I hear hes doing a medical. If we sign him i cant think of a lower point in our transfer dealings for many years, this is the kind of stuff that makes me hate strachan, weather he's in charge of it or not. Muck player and will never make it at any half decent club.

How many very average midfielders do we have to buy from scottish and Irish leagues to realise we are wasting our time and also their time. Lets look at what we have already, real talents like mizuno and give them their chance.
