Celtic bid £2million for Zurawski

    Gordon Strachan has made his first official move in the transfer market with a £2million bid for Maciej Zurawski of Wisla Krakow.

    The Polish striker is in top form and has already stated in the media he would love to move to the Scottish giants.

    And Wisla President Janusz Basalaj said earlier today: "We have just received an official offer from the Scottish club.

    "Celtic has presented their proposal and we have launched negotiations."

    Strachan has had Zurawski watched and is hopeful of getting the player on board quickly.

    But Celtic fans will be concerned that this might mean a move for Welshman Craig Bellamy is becoming more and more unlikely.

    Newcastle want at least £5million for the unsettled striker although Celtic aren't prepared to match that valuation.

    Meanwhile, defender Joos Valgaeran has signed for FC Brugge on a free after his contract expired.

    The Belgian will be returning to his homeland after Martin O'Neill brought him to Glasgow 5 years ago.

    Neil Lennon though is going nowhere after agreeing to sign a one year deal which will probably see the Northern Irishman into retirement.

      Artur Boruc - he is the best player in Legia.He is a big person - he always helps ill peoples when he can (friendly match when money are given for hospitals etc.).When Legia's fans didn't scream and sing in important match (we protested) he was talking with us and...succes.He can shot the penalty ! (and he defences penalty really good).
      I think that he's at the same level of abilities as Jerzy Dudek.

      I'm sorry for my English.It's horrible :)

      One thing more - he was choosen as the best goalkepeer of Polish Leauge in last season in Pilkarskie Oscary by players of our league.

      Your English is excellent. I couldn't hold a coversation in Polish so don't knock yourself. I would love to see Boruc at Celtic and if he is as good as Dudek he must be a great player!

      In my opinion Żurawski(Żuraw) is better then Owen. Zuraw play on whole field he can score goal from 25-30 meters. When he shoot PK it's 100% goal!! He's free kick shoots are hevenly. He can pass fantastic ball to the partner. Can Owen do it ? I don't think so!!! POZDROWIENA DLA RODAKOW TYLKO WISLA NASZ TS!!!!!!!!

      hopefully Zurawski will be a great promotion for Poland and its league... there are some great players that you could buy for much less, yet they are still very good.. i wonder how Szymkowiak would do in the EPL or SPL ( he is working wonders in the Turkish league) and he only cost 800,000 Euro

      C'mon Celtic sign Boruc! Fer *'s sake, don't sign a far too expensive 33 year-old! Ye get a bargain with this lad!

      I guess, from what I know, with the Liverpool supporters, coz Celtic has a lot o' things in comon with liverpool! But Everton are cool too, coz they have a song: " To * with Liverpool, and Rangers too! " :celt_2: . Ohterwise, I suppose Irish teams
