The closest place you will get to the City Centre which is partly a Celtic area would be Royston.
Its like every part of Glasgow people that don't stay there say stay the * away, the people that stay there say its not as bad as made out.
I stay in Posso & love were i live (meant to be the worst place in Glasgow) -
the calton not the nicest area but close to celtic park and city centre plus youll be near all the famous celtic bars.

As mentioned by the poster above, Dennistoun is a good shout. I've lived here all my life, it's very close to all amenities and most importantly close to Celtic Park :50:

The north and east of the city are more Celtic but there are some exceptions like Bridgeton

Most areas are pretty mixed, and it probably isn't that much of an issue who you support unless you flaunt it. Even Ibrox/Govan area, which a lot of people assume is full of huns cos of their ground, has loads of tims. Govanhill has traditionally had good links with Donegal and still has a few good Celtic/Irish pubs, but is perhaps more of an Asian ghetto these days and has housing problems. Dennistoun is ok but is meant to lean slightly to the huns. West end full of middle class tossers and students so not a football stronghold, nice pubs/restaurants/amenities though and if you're renting the cost isn't that bad.
