I keep hearing this crap about the board backing lennon, he spent something like 10m on players, but we brought in 17 million on players, the board backed lennon but we had a net spend of -7 million.

if this stupid board invested in a cb,cf and quality keeper the fans would be happy and continue going to the games,we had 52k for 2 of our games proof that the fans believed in lenny and that board would get these 3 players we need but yet again and with only a few days left in window we have only signed 1 player 900k and he is a project.that is an utter disgrace and heads must roll this is taking the extreme out of the fantastic support who deserve better than this

Would anyone be interested in taking over Desmond's shareholding? The answer to that is only possible if he indicates a willingness to sell. If he is happy with the way things are he should sell. If not, it would be helpful if the Board were to advise the supporters what their plans are to improve performance on the park.

As has been said, the club's management (Board, Chief Executive, team managers etc.) have collectively let the support down in recent years.

    1) Failure to strengthen the squad in the January 2009 transfer window, arguably leading to us losing the league that season.
    2) Appointment of Tony Mowbray, money wasted on Fortune, Rasmussen and other signings that have failed to deliver on the field.
    3) Today, we still have too many squad players who are not considered good enough or are out on loan, draining the wage bill, and on-field performances are poor.

With hindsight it can be said that if better judgements had been made the situation today would be much better.

However, it cannot be argued that Celtic are too poor to compete with English Championship clubs in the transfer market. YET WE DO NOT APPEAR TO BE DOING SO TODAY. Our turnover is larger than virtually all the Championship teams, but I feel the team we put on the pitch would struggle in the bottom half down there on present performance.

If Danish, Cypriot and Belgian clubs with far less wealth than us can progress in Europe then so should we. If the board has any ambition for the future they should be telling shareholders and supporters what they intend to do.

People need to understand that we are a PLC. There is no way Desmond can pump in money to to club. If he did we would fall foul of FSA regulations and the sanctions that come with that are not worth thinking about. Desmond keeps getting it in the neck but I am sorry there is nothing he can do.

He could possibly extend an overdraft facility to the club but there is a * of a lot of red tape involved in this. Also why is Desmond the only one getting it in the neck? He isn't even the richest shareholder for * sake

Why or even how are Rangers spending and we're not. I don't care how much or how good the players are they're giving their fans something to chew on. We just get strung along season after season.
I don't get how they are even allowed to buy players to be honest, they can't pay their taxes properly but can spend a couple mil on playing staff. How do the tax men let them get away with that??

So the people who give us the millions of pounds don't deserve a return? And lennoxtown cost a lot to build.

    Yes I am.

It's clear some fans on here have actually no idea about finances and slate the board through ignorance

What the * are you talking about? You don't have to work for Celtic to support them.

Why doesn't he just sell his shares to decent, normal supporters? I've got a few hundred as it is, i'd much rather other fans owned them than he did.

At least give proper fans the chance to own Celtic, rather than him just sitting on his pile, doing nothing with it.
